just noted your comment here → http://www.desidime.com/forums/hot-deals-online... and voted this.

consider adding some competing prices from other sellers/portals for visitors here to get help on making an informed analysis.

as for the product itself:

may be the three jars and 500 wattage make it the USP from a known brand.
but otherwise, neither is this (home appliances, white goods) their forte
nor their is any efficient (product) service life history on these as this is just launched in the F.Y. 2016-17

also, when anyone (be it even a Louis Vuitton Malletier or a Société Cartier) says
http://www.dnaindia.com/money/report-eveready-e...

“..Some models out of its 60-odd appliance product range starting from mixer grinders to rice cookers would be developed exclusively for the specific e-commerce platforms...”
then i am always on a guard;
as it is primarily an attempt to jack up top-line for the company and usually the ‘focus’ is on doing so by keeping cost at a minimal level and on increasing margins (even if thin).

one can even discard my views (where, after rigorous usage and a tear down i found found even their mainstay product; Ultima Batteries to be average Chinese imports) on the battery products they trade in.

Do note that http://www.livemint.com/Companies/bto6INihllatU...

“..To begin with, Eveready will launch at least 19 products, such as ceiling fans, electrical kettles and mixer-grinders, which will be contract manufactured in China and India, managing director Amritanshu Khaitan told reporters in Kolkata...”

“..Though it will position itself as a “value-for-money brand”, Eveready will split its home appliances between two categories: popular and premium...”

“..Put together, the company expects the category to yield an operating margin of around 10-12%...”

so all in all;
1] they are expanding into uncharted territory (which by itself is not a bad thing.)
2] they are trading in these things.
3] a VFM positioning and contract manufacturing, makes one wonder if they’ll try to source from the cheapest vendor/manufacturer.
4] 25% of these sales are expected to be from high-cost physical channels and 30% (is expected) from on-line selling as per their media release and still they hope for an OPM of 10-12%.
so definitely the actual costs can be interpolated based on these numbers.

5] if comparable products from the mainstay Indian brands in this line; like a Sumeet or an Anjali or Inalsa be evaluated against this Eveready then it will help form a better picture.

Note: the views are personal. this is not a negative comment , nor do i intend to discourage people from buying the Eveready branded home appliances. I do not have any direct or indirect interest in any of the names discussed above.

nothing like that @captain_volt
my infamy https://cdn3.desidime.com/assets/textile-editor/icon_sad.gif in these matters is long known, acknowledged, chided (is.gd/500words :-/ )

your words of acknowledgement and appreciation by themselves are a reward.

back to the product, the brand definitely is aware of and want to keep its goodwill intact, so it will hopefully not falter on training their authorised service support franchisee network and their own offices.

they prices seem a little on the higher side but that is the way the discounting model on-line works.
since it does not have much of a sale history (being an April-May launch); it is only an assumption on the performance and quality.

who knows, these might turn out decent for 8-10 years use too.
