At its core, Uber is a logistics platform. Using it to make it easier for more people to join in this massive relief effort is our tiny contribution to the people of Jammu & Kashmir.

Uber is connecting you directly to JKFLOODRELIEF across 10 Indian cities in an effort to help raise essential resources. Slide over to the UberJKRelief option and request a vehicle between 10am and 4pm tomorrow and an UberJKRelief vehicle will come to your pickup location to accept your contributions for free.

Through our app you will be able to request a vehicle to come to you to pick up your contribution and deposit it safely to the JKFLOODRELIEF collection centres in each of the 10 cities below:

HOW IT WORKS

On Thursday, September 18, fire up your Uber app any time between 10 AM and 4 PM.
New to Uber? Dial 1800 2000 677 to get Uber or download uber.com/app and enter the promo code UberJKRelief to get ₹300 off your first ride. Valid till September 30th, 2014.
Slide over to the UberJKRelief option on the slider at the bottom of the screen and click on the ‘REQUEST PICKUP’ button.
An UberJKRelief vehicle will come to your pickup location to accept your contributions for FREE
At the end of the activity, each vehicle will drop off all collected contributions to the JKFLOODRELIEF collection centres

SBI DC worked for me just for account creation though it won’t be charged if your ride exceeds the free amount.
Then your account as well as the Card will be blocked for any future rides permanently.

Take FREE rides between 7am on Thursday (09/18) through 11:59pm on Wednesday (09/24) for up to ₹300 per ride.
Maximum of 10 rides per user
If the total fare of your (free) trip is over ₹300 the credit card on file will be charged the difference

Anybody able to create account with UBER?using VCC but unable to create,any solutions??;-}

SBI VCC didn’t work for me.. had to use real citi card
