Good configuration at a very good price.. And a good brand also.
The only con I can see is 500 GB HDD, which could have been 1 TB at a slightly higher price.

Paytm sometimes gives a higher cashback, so if one can wait then it might work out cheaper, or simply wait for another day to see if there are better coupons from eBay. Currently Paytm is costlier.
A month back I bought an Asus 1TB, Core i3 5 Gen, 4 GB for under Rs 22k for home, using the Rs 3.5k cashback. That discount is currently unavailable now, so might wait to see if it comes back again.

I like that model, it has got the chiclet keyboard (looks quite nice), with a good construction, and with 2 year global warranty. Still I let it pass as I prefer more RAM (even with a slower processor) and a matte display. Also, hopefully it will be lighter (the ASUS is like a brick, good for a desktop replacement but not too convenient for travel).
How good are these power saving processors? The ones which ends with ‘U’. I guess other ones give better performance. Fujitsu products are made in Germany and pretty sturdy too. I have an older version lifebook.
I bought this last month from ebay for 20.1K after 2K off. Performance wise it is very good. Only issue so far is finger prints where ever we touch the plastics(like oily patches, seems poor plastic quality IMO). Overall it is good for the price.
This model was always available at average price of Rs. 20,000 and the lowest upto Rs. 18,000 in paytm even today price after cashback is Rs. 20,975 https://paytm.com/shop/p/fujitsu-a514-core-i3-4...

Yes, bought it in that period and effective price after cash back was 17650/- for me.

Quite satisfied with the performance, but I am not a heavy user, mostly surfing. Battery back up is good, around 4-5 hrs. easily.

But initial 2-3 months all laptops give a good battery backup, will it be working good for 4-5 years ??
is this brand good??

I can’t comment about the long terms right now, we have to wait for that.

No I asked like if you have any previous experiences with similar models Anyways no issues.

my 2 year old laptop which has 4000 mah battery gives at least 2-3 hours but I rarely use it purely on battery.
4-5 years is asking too much of any battery. the charge discharge cycles would’ve got over by then.
warranty? 3 years? onsite?

No I meant it like those were the highest limits.. I have a 3 yr old HP-Pavillion which gives me 3 hr battery backup. This is the time coompletely over Wifi and if I use for PDF and other Word then it gives around 4 hrs (more than 3 definitely)

That was a real steal, shame I was not looking for it at that time.
Btw, my post here was more to point out the particular laptop model rather than which site gives the lowest. I think at this price, without compromising much on build quality (its not some cheap Chinese product), it has an excellent config. Personally (and you will agree when you have used it) having more RAM is better than getting one gen higher (which are not that big upgrades anyway, but Intel has to keep doing that to sell new processors). At any point of buying check where it is the cheapest, likely it will be between eBay (after coupon) and Paytm (after cashback).
If you can wait for it then you can always end up with a steal. I bought the Asus A555LA for under Rs22k from Paytm a month back by waiting and checking the price 3 times a day
As for battery I can’t comment since I haven’t used it, but from the reviews it seems it is better than the competition.
4 pieces left

Use 7EBAYDEALS to get it at ~ Rs 19.4k; or try PAYTMAPR10
I myself used SUPEROFF43 for Rs 19k. Try SUPEROFF40, …., SUPEROFF49 to see if any works.
I bought this for a friend the laptop is with me now I am installing Windows on it. It does not come with dos either.
Man this laptop is bang for the buck. I got it at 20.6k I guess(after applying 7ebaydeal coupon).
This laptop is really unique iT has 3 USB 3.0 ports.
And it has one anytime charge port.
Which means you can charge your mobile without switching on your laptop.
It has 1 USB 2.0 port.
The laptop is fast and the build is sturdy its on the heavy side.
Tip: if you are installing from bootable USB drive remember to go into the Bios and disable USB 3.0 or else it will keep asking for USB3.0 Drivers and won’t ,let you install(remember to enable it once its installed).
The keyboard is amamzing and it dedicated arrow and Numb Keybad.
the Touch is also good.
The graphics are good Not tested game but for decent viewing its good the display is much better than the Dell I had got for 17.5 k(but normal price is same as this and that has only 4gb ram and AMD)
The viewing angles are great its much better and with the display looks and feels like a premium laptop.
It has a host of lights in the front to indicate wifi, ports etc.
If you tell anyone this laptop is 35k They would believe it (of course no dedicated Graphics).
The best part is has 1 ram slot free. Its easily accesible from a separat panel at the back which you can open without voiding Warranty.
So in a year or so you can easily make this a 16B ram laptop
Considering this I guess this Laptop will easily be future proof for atleast 4-5 years for office/business use.
I think without the deal also this Laptop is really worth at the current price or better still the Paytm Cashback offer.
Great to hear, mine in still in transit. I wonder how many from here managed to get those ‘defective’ pieces.
Currently Paytm seems to be the cheapest, unless you manage a good eBay coupon. I would have updated the OP but it doesn’t allow me to edit.
The reason I keep pushing for this laptop is that I have surveyed a wide range of laptops (I keep buying for my friends from time to time), and this is almost a level apart in terms of pricing while fulfilling all me needs.
check this model – 5th generation core i3 with 8GB RAM
There is one issue with this lappy & which is substantial to point out as I haven’t experienced the same in other brands. The power adapter provided by Fujitsu is of 2 barrel pin & due to which the associated power cord consists of only 2 pin plug. The important earthing pin is missing & due to this very fact there is grounding current issues with the lappy whenever the charger is connected. You can experience the tingling sensation on your sensitive body parts whenever you come in contact with the metallic components of this notebook. You can also confirm it by verifying it with an Ampere Line Tester.
And I have confirmed the same with Fujitsu that they only manufacture 2 pin power adapters.

Its something I overlooked, but in hindsight expected for a German made product (German sockets have the grounding pin in reverse). In fact, my current laptop has a German adapter (I had changed it when I went abroad, rather than getting a universal plug).
I haven’t had a problem till date, but then I may just have been lucky to have been using plug points with good earthing. Probably this is something which should be checked before buying.
Wow…VU+KG for ur sincere efforts. Will suggest this laptop to my friend.
