Anytime it’s 920…but one thing…920 is bulkier and heavier than this…but rest are state of art in 920…but don’t forget 8X is one of the sexiest phone available in the market right now..

I think there is no wireless charging in htc 8×.

So lumia 920 got the upper edge and i havent seen camera quality of 8x but Lumia 920 camera quality is just awesome best in mobile i seen so far (not taking pureview into consideration, i think its a high price crap from nokia)

Lumia 920 and 8X have very similar internals but have their own strong and weak (actually little less strong) points.

Lumia 920 has one of the best smartphone cameras. 8X’s camera is also very good and in some aspects even better than that on the Lumia 920 but overall Lumia 920’s camera is just ‘awesome’.
EDIT- Few reviewers claim that in some cases the 8X’s camera performs better than the Lumia 920’s camera.
Lumia 920’s camera is targeted at professional users while 8X’s camera is for casual shooting.

8X is lighter, has better build quality and is extremely comfortable for single handed use while the Lumia 920 is a bit bulky (because of the camera optics/floating lens and a slightly bigger battery).

8X with Beats Audio gives a better music experience than the Lumia 920.

Lumia 920 has 32GB internal storage as opposed to 16GB internal storage in the 8X. None of them have expandable memory

Lumia 920 has wireless charging capability while 8X doesn’t have this feature.

EDIT- In terms of looks, 8X, just like all premium HTC phones looks amazing.

Overall both of them are great phones and which one you choose depends on personal preference.

Hardware wise the phone is great but I don’t have much idea about Windows Phone/Windows Phone devices.

I’m an Android fan but I must say that Microsoft has done a great job.

Windows Phone 8 is an extremely good looking/visually appealing mobile OS.

It isn’t highly customizable and flexible like Android but unlike iOS, it allows users to do some amount of customization.

The only drawback is the lack of apps in the Windows Phone Store and also the OS isn’t as stable as Android or iOS, but we must understand that it took iOS and Android a couple of years to become solid, mature OSes with access to app store having endless apps.

In my opinion Windows Phone is a promising OS, it’s here to stay and I hope it will give Apple (iOS) and Google (Android) some serious competition.

Lumia920 is better than HTC. Yes, HTC makes good phones through out the range. But Nokia makes the best phones in the top end segment. Let not forget the haloed history for Nokia, communicator series (build like a tank), N series and the current Lumia series. The camera on Lumia is as good as a decent point and shoot. And, that is saying something. Hardware integration for top end phones is probably the best in Nokia, yes, even better than Apple. There, I said it. Try dropping an iPhone 5 and a Lumia 920 on a concrete floor from a height of 3-4 ft and check out the result. Though, if you own both the phones would you even be reading this post?

I feel the touch response in Lumia high end series is superior to HTC or iPhone4. I have not had a chance to compare it with iPhone 5. HTC makes good phones, no doubt about that. But somehow, there is always something that leaves me dissatisfied whilst using an HTC device. Their best device till date was the flyer. After that, for me personally, it has all been downhill.

You may have noticed that I have focused on the user experience than the innards of the phone.At the end of the day the phone needs to do its job as a phone and a PDA. I do not care what is inside it. You could put in hobbits insides it to make it work, I wouldn’t care. It must do what I want and need of it. For me, with this criteria, Nokia920 would be the clear winner. Having said that, I am no Nokia fanboy. I am just clear about what I like and want.
