Had tried purchasing a sofa set worth 35k last year in bangalore . It took 2 months and still no whereabouts on delivery and this was ordered in their showroom.. .Finally after weeks of visit, decided to cancel the order .. Had a big fight with the store manager on cancellation and getting the money back , but eventually got it . Hope this helps ..

cant we buy in EMI of 12 month i.e. 1607/ month and 1st month nly emi will be deducted and these guys have time to delivery this is just to reduce the Risk and Hometown has bad nd good both reviews like any other seller. So by this u have time to hope for best ryt?

Edit: Query- U ordered in showroom for tailor-made Sofa not the ready one? here CB is by Paytm and HT is getting 17k, so it should not be a problem and these are ready-made wardrobes

Just check Google reviews for these furniture dealers before buying online. Better to be wary of these brands.

Also lately I feel that these sellers are abusing PayTM platform to dump their damaged/defective/outdated stocks. With no way of checking seller review on PayTM, it becomes a fertile ground for these cheaters out there to make a quick buck on items that have no way of getting sold offline.

well hometown doesn’t keep stock of all the models in their showroom. So if you want to purchase you would always prefer a new piece and not the one which is on display purposes . I am not sure abt the emi part , never tried with a dealer directly , but yes risk is mitigated a bit . yeah i do agree, you get bad and good reviews , but not consistently bad which hometown usually has ..

well surely i agree here …valid comments….this may differ product to product …but when its big bucks better look for safe investing …

after five or six days
they cancell my order
than i never tried to buy again

I purchased the same wardrobe close to 2 months back from Paytm.

It got delivered after 20 odd days, after multiple followups with the Hometown team, a person came and installed it…

Quality is decent… Made in Malaysia… The person who comes and installs takes 1 hour.. (approx 500 screws to be fixed)
Look wise 9/10
Quality 6.5/10
The closet doors could have slightly been of better quality
Only 1 drawer is there without lock
Cupboard locks are nice and of good qaulity

Overall Value for money at this price… Size is perfect, spacious, and branded….

Should last for 5-6 years if kept with care

Yesterday I saw one news in telugu news channel, one of the seller from paytm sent 2 wood blocks instead of laptop. Better to avoid high value items from paytm.

I agree. The anonymity of seller’s reputation will surely dent paytm sooner or later. They better put things in place or else these scam seller will ruin the whole thing for them.
