My doubt is that at the end of the lease period, do we need to return the iPhone?? As per the Q&A’s in the above article and in some other articles, it is mentioned we need to return the iPhone after the lease period. Then it is not a good plan at all.

I would think they would follow US model wherein they give you option to upgrade whenever they come up with new phone.

US model won’t work in India. For that to work, Apple would require Telecom companies to sell the phone in locked mode and people also should be interested to buy it. It won’t happen. I was looking to buy 5s if the price came down to 15k but there is no chance of that happening. Mostly Apple is trying to clear old stock of 5s at a higher price and then they might bring down the price of SE. We might have to wait until Dasara or Deepavali or launch of iPhone 7 for some good offers on SE.
