If you are talking about PVR nearbuy coupons, then yes you can use it for food (applicable to movie ticket and food, not applicable to conv charges and taxes which you have to pay by card or wallet) . pvr site gives option to select food as well.

Most of the time, the tickets are booked by a friend from bookmyshow as she have BOGO offer for his credit card. If I can use these coupon for food, can save something
