Go to any of the Reliance Digital or Reliance Digital Xpress/Xpress Mini stores near your place and ask for LYF handsets with Jio sim. They will provide you at the prices mentioned in the Jio website. If they quote old price, just inform them of the change in the price & ask them to check in Jio website. NO invite required. Jio 4G license is acquired for pan India by Reliance. Most probably it will be available in your area also.

you can’t use phones standalone , only to use as wi-fi hot spot else battery dies in few hours but must buy for the amazing 4g unlimited experience

No roaming charges as Reliance has got 4G license for pan India. No issue but if you are still confused, you can contact Jio support & get it confirmed.

Is it bad even for using it as a hot spot at this price? I remember reading a post which stated that even if plugged in the battery drains out. Not sure if it was you, but read that the latest update has solved these issues?

Yes, The battery issue seems to have been resolved as per the posts in thrifty indian thread. It is a good deal now with the price cut but check out the devices once in Reliance Digital Store to get an idea about it. I checked them & didn’t like them. But some were responsive enough to be used for simple purpose & as a hotspot.

@DealSeeker Yes, it is not a bad deal after the price cut.

Edit – Don’t have any idea whether if we can root the flame series & install Xposed. But some who tried to check some tricks to make it work in other mobiles were complaining that after inserting the sim back to LYF mobiles, 4G data was not working.

PS – Thrifty indian is not active nowadays after his suspension.

Probably there will never be one or may be King root works. I felt its better not to experiment with the device until the 3 month trial period. Once i was tweaking something and my mobile data stopped working. Even after reset it didnt work
Had to call cc and wait for 2 days to get it fixed

I am using Flame 2. Got it on 2nd this month and saw yesterday 25% drop in price
Average speed I am getting is 35mbps inside the home(near the window) which is worth at the price I bought at.
Don’t consider any other flame models. Get Flame 2 if battery is not a problem.

bought wind 4 and there has been no battery problem till now , but now think, 2999 phone may have been enough
