Is there any way for me to get a virtual/prepaid Rupay card online?
I asked this a long time ago. Unfortunately, I didn’t get a working solution then so I am asking again. I don’t have a Rupay card from any of my banks and I don’t like missing out on all of these Rupay-specific offers.

Don’t have answer to your question,
But I think this might not work on virtual cards.
Other site Rupay offers may work though I guess

All u need is go to Idbi bk, u will get it . If it’s ur first card from Idbi bk, then first year no charges and then 110 plus St till expiry per annum..
There was somewhere I read related to Rupay card u get on irctc website.. confirm the same, not sure though

Fortunately/Unfortunately there’s currently no way to get a Virtual Rupay Card. The UBI IRCTC Card Payment Page doesn’t work. So it’s better off getting a Rupay Card from any of the Private/Public Bank.

I already have accounts with SBI but they gave me Maestro cards.
Anyway, as @A2Zdeals pointed out and as I mentioned in my post, I am interested in finding a virtual/prepaid Rupay card which could be obtained completely online. Let’s not forget that a new savings account also adds to the taxation/reporting burden.
@GoogleCA Yes, that UBI IRCTC card was the non-working solution that I was told about earlier.

Check PM. You can request SBI to issue Rupay Card. I m 100% sure they will do it. Visit the branch, fill up the form and ask the executive that you need a Rupay Card. He may ask you to block the maestro card first. I did that in SBI (I thought you didn’t have a bank account with a PSB)

Will SBI charge money to replace maestro card with Rupay card?

Even I am getting the same error. Have you used this card in more than one account? What could be the reason for this?
