Sony of-course is an exception. [they do honour International warranties and service products here if the skills and spares are available]
if not extraordinary, still the Sony one [W600B series] is worth buying, going by the specs and performance [they launched W600B earlier in 2014, with the USP: low cost (by Sony standards) ]

Do you think it can be deliverd in India in approx 30K?? If yes, then its a gr8 deal itself. But shipping kills deal as always.

Bro, go with it. It is good. I watched it in a Croma Showroom. However 40 inches version is not available in India. You will get 48 inches in this model. Price is around 80K for 47 inches.
If you buy 40 inches, Sony India will provide no warranty as it is imported TV.
I’m also going to buy this TV. Stretching my budget to almost 15K, due to Brand Name, Trust and quality and SMART feature. However will not get Sony Warranty in 40K.

@AAG bhai, yes finally I bought it. Have been using it for almost 10 days. The TV is just AWESOME!

Design wise, its slim and trim. I loved its design. The TV Stand is stylish and looks great.

I liked it because of SD Channels quality. They are gr8 on SONY Panel. I can’t afford HD as per now, so Sony turned out to be a better choice. I was confused between VU 40K16 and Sony W600B, but finally after doing research for few weeks, finalized Sony.

Picture quality is great on SD Channels and Awesome on HD Channels (watched in Showroom). USB also plays almost all formats.

Audio is also good as you know that audio is almost same in all Panels. All TV generally have FLAT sound. But not a problem if you have Home Theater you can attach to TV and experience realistic movie experience.

SMART Feature means its a Internet TV. You can play with different apps in TV, but I found a plenty of them useful (say You Tube Facebook etc). You can also browse to Internet.

Overall its a wonderful experience in owning this TV. You can go ahead if you trust on Sony and don’t need warranty.
