I’d cancel the order if the seller asked nicely. It was a mistake and there’s no need to punish them for this with negative ratings. If he isn’t polite then he deserves the negative ratings.

agreed and its nice to do, i mean the cancellation. i am curious about a use case, what if seller inflated the price, and the buyer bought it anyway. Seller later realizes that the price is inflated by mistake. Would he give back the money to buyer? and even if buyer approaches him saying its a highly priced item, would they care to do something? just my questions. I am taking neither side here.

You can always cancel the order I guess. In case you find out its available cheaper elsewhere. No need to even contact the seller. Better price elsewhere is a valid reason for cancellation.

You can always cancel the order I guess. In case you find out its available cheaper elsewhere. No need to even contact the seller. Better price elsewhere is a valid reason for cancellation.
realization post delivery boss. i dont think any seller (even those that cry foul during these price errors) would refund you the difference amount. i am not asking anyone to not cancel price errors. I am putting across a similar thought where buyer is at fault by purchasing unknowingly.

I think you misunderstood me from the beginning. I’m not asking anyone to cancel their p/e orders so to save the seller from incurring loss. That is a different case scenario altogether.
What I said in my first post is only about the negative ratings/performance review seller will have to bear when he cancels the orders. Thats all. That was under the assumption the order wasn’t going to get honored anyways so why hurt the seller as long as he asks politely. It wont make a difference to buyer in either case.
But considering atleast one person here has claimed their order is shipped, that point isnt even valid anymore. Now there’s a chance you could get the product. Previous scenario is gone now making my point moot.
