I bought an iPhone 4S + Sony W610 camera from eBay to reach a value for Rs. 50000 ( ebay gift)

It seems i had some old account, and they blocked it and money is still with them for 22 days asking me why i opened my new account and such stuffs. They asked the sellers not to ship the product. No refund, no product still

Not much safe. Head Ache. Now even if i get the products, i wont get the free gift.

If i get refund, i will be in LOSS because the seller has deleted his listings the item is no longer available.

SO I ALWAYS PREFER COD!

bigdaddy coupon, see homepage for a banner. Dont rush, you will receive your gift only around August-September. They delay in sending those or they will not send those blocking your account. I am fed up with ebay

BigDaddy coupons are also not working so you will not get 16GB card.

Good Deal, Voted up.I personally like the phone, Only down side is dealer warranty that too only for software. I am unable to resist this one!! will do a quick round of search all over and think of hitting buy!!

Some price comparison

After a lot of thoughts/search/research i had bought the phone from the link given in anaroydhar post as seller giving one year warranty, final price was 8644.05 (5% coupon was available and used it)

Will write up a detailed review once i have the piece in hand.

I was almost going to buy it but then thought of checking seller’s feedback.

Looks like the seller is doing a lot of wicked stuff since the last month. He has 7 negative feedback in the last month while 9 total in his lifetime. The phones he is selling are having problems, in feedback some are telling that they are refurbished or duplicate etc.

Now I don’t think I will go for the deal.

Hope this gives a better view of the deal to someone!

very true brother and even if he does this ebay will support him only. i wqas sent a old refurbished camera whereas the listing mentioned brand new and the seller did nothing, ebay was worse told me they cannot do anything.

I was going to say the same, I bought the white version in JAN this year and had following problems:

1) White color started fading at the corners on front and the back.
2) 5 to 6 sec delay in opening dialer (really frustrating).
3) noise while recording video (search google their is a problem with this model).
4) Call drops, caller getting message that phone is switched off (not a network problem, was using same carried and sim on sony ericsson W810i and now on Samsung Omnia W).
4)Some performance issues when lot of apps installed.

Sold it on ebay with about 4000 loss so really no good phone, go for ray, neo v, or xperia u or wait and go for new dual core phone from spice that is going to launch at about 11,000 or so.

As majority of feedback is positive I have also placed an order for the phone today from sankyoelectronics seller (original link). He is a Chennai based seller. Will update when received on quality of transaction.

Took chance with this seller but turned up to be a bad experience

The product received was not in new condition. There was no company packing inside. Just individual items packed in some old used plastic covers. Cell phone it self appears to be almost new and working. You can see pictures

1. Box was not sealed.
2. Company packing was missing in the box
3. All items were packed in old plastic covers.
4. Phone had a lot of finger prints and marks on the body. I cleaned there was no screen damage.
5. Charger also has marks and repacked. definitely old used charger.
6. The ear phone was also old piece not the one company gives with this model.
7. Clock was already set on the phone. some one had used it earlier.

Lesson learnt – don’t go by % of ratings! Even couple of bad feedbacks should give you a hint.

This was a very similar experience like in case of used TV shipped to me by letsbuy. I don’t know why it happens to me?

Talked to seller 3-4 times and he is not willing to accept that it is an an open box with old accessories and phone which was not clean. He is saying you can ship back on your own cost and then he will decide on what next to do. If they find it to be an old one then he can consider refund.

He said he will show phone to ebay and can prove that it is new and also that he can get my ID blocked by ebay for just complaining. He said he gets these phones from a company in Singapore and sells at low price in India. He trusts his Singapore company 100% and that all his phones and authentic. His claims

1. These are import phones and in other countries all phones are packed like this in old plastic covers.
2. May be due to cost cutting Sony Ericsson may have removed packing material from inside
3. Customs people may have opened the box to inspect (and replaced charger and headphones with an old one!).

These Ebay dealers are cheaters. I have two bad experiences.
Apart from few good dealers like the ones selling iberry tablets, most of the dealers join ebay to dump their old and stuck stock.
Ebay gains a4% on all the purchases made.
this margin is the reason ebay generally rules in favour of the seller because if ebay allows buyer to return the product then it looses 4% ioncome+shipping charges.
I have purchased four new items in total from ebay and two are used and with torn packiongs.

Received my item also, As listed above by other folks, its open box, but i don’t see any traces of seal/glue or any such thing, maybe this was never sealed to begin with.

This phone defiantly is imported version, mostly form Indonesia as per the package stickers etc.. I don’t consider the phone as used as it does not show any signs of wear and tear, maybe i was lucky, my phone was crystal clear/neat.

Regarding headphones yes they are not the same, this perhaps may be sony’s way of distributing things like each country has there own add-ons to save costs etc. do note that there was no screen protector and add-on back cover which are defaults in India, also packing is different for Indian versions which come in larger box. Not every country is treated the same as i know. it happens in many other products also.

Just to add My seller was jk_camera and not sankyoeletronics

In my case there is essentially no internal packing other than some old dirty crumpled plastic covers of different types. and all items moving around. Top of phone was quite dirty. Keyboard was clean.

I would not risk buying from that seller. If u want to press your luck for a test, then go for it. I cant say much about camera as i haven’t bought one form him.

I also bought SONY ERICSSON XPERIA PRO FROM sankyoelectronics on Ebay and my phone was completely seal packed and had all the original accasories with it.So i think the seller is very nice.Fast shipping.We can rely on him.I bought silver color of Sony Xperia Pro MK16i.

Nope, its imported stuff with fake battery and headset, in an unsealed box. Dont waste your hard earned money on this sale

I got Bill along with the mobile phone Sony Xperia pro.It was seal packed and with all the original accesories.I also have the contact number of Sankyo electronics.If anybody needs it i can give it to you.I had a nice experience buying mobile phone.And i would recommend the seller.My friend bought Sony Xperia Ray.It was also fine:-}
