The main problem as it seems from many reviews on the net is that this laptop is immensely slow. Wonder if increasing the RAM to at least 4 GB would solve the problem?

Otherwise it seems to be a graphically pleasing laptop with a decent AMD A8 processor. Processor is Quad core with Turbo clock Speed upto 2.7 GHz. It was around Rs. 23K in Flipkart a month back. At around Rs. 20-21K it should be a good buy as RAM has to be definitely increased. Should be good for moderate gaming and regular purposes with increased RAM. Need not worry about SONY quitting computer business, as after sales support will anyway be there.

Adding 2gb ram or better still, a 4gb stick of ram will will really help making this laptop a pleasure to use. (Holds true for all those laptops with 2gb ram!).

these r from Lamington road sellers. they take out d original components frm d lappies and install either refurbished or duplicate. I’ve seen them myself doing all this. and if u come here to buy it, u can get it as low as 17-18k fr d same specs and d same model along with many other freebies like laptop bag, mouse, portable speakers, keyboard guard, screen guard etc..
