If anything happens 2 the phone, IT IS SERVICEABLE ‘VIA’ SONY INDIA
u hav 2 pay some minor charge (hardly rs.500), SONY INDIA will get it serviced from SONY INTERNATIONAL
& u know about eBay guarantee, so if u r dissatisfied, u can CLAIM for refund.

I’ve also got the same rply. Although I’d bought moto g. Clearly the seller is fraud bcoz he is giving me the reason that he’s being charged rs.1500/- additional per product as taxes and want 500 rs to compensate his loss and after all this instead of increasing the price at its product listing page he’s accepting the order at the same price till now.

I ordered moto g…And i also got the mail asking 500 rs extra.Please dont order.
And report against this fraud seller.
I talked customer care and they also told me to report fraud.

How much time ebay will take for any action after reporting seller as a fraud ?

All, this is part of one the biggest frauds cheaters are doing online..

The Racket:
You should know that Malaysia is one of the biggest market of these kind of fraud dealers and rackets. Also other developing countries like Philippines, Thailand, some south Asian and few Arab countries where they’re highly active and there aren’t strict rules enough or whatever reason to catch hold of them. If you check on websites like olx and quikr, you would find so may people dealing mobiles like iPhone 5s for 25k, Lumia 1020 for 20k, Galaxy S5 for 30k, Note 3 for 22k and so on.. They use this same method. PLEASE NOTE: THEY ARE NOT AT ALL SELLING ANY KIND OF PHONES. INFACT THEY DON’T EVEN HAVE ONE TO SELL. iPhones don’t even come out of factory at that price!!

How they work:
They just make money by asking to deposit or pay them money in forms like wire transfer or ebay (where u need to confirm on fake shipping details) and other methods where u have no way to recover, in lieu/demand of TAX, SHIPPING CHARGES, ETC. Once they get the money, they’ll just disappear and you won’t even probably know who they were, and who to ask for your money. They are a big racket.

Always keep in mind that if a deal sound too good to be true, it probably is!

Also, please be informed that authorized mobiles companies can ONLY service your phone if you provide a valid VAT paid bill (Indian) to them. Or otherwise International warranty specifically mentioned on the computerized bill cross-checked with company’s database. Its a government mandate. And such fraudsters can’t provide you that.

What should i do now?

Raise an item not received claim on ebay, you will get full refund without any hassle. It is clear that the shipping details are fake. In my case, I have to wait for 2 more days to open a claim. I think Item not received claim can be raised only after 7 days.
