American Diamonds Almonds are the naqli hybrids and always way cheaper than the asli stuff (like Irani Mamra).
the embargo on Iran also makes things from there costly though.

Omani dates (khajoor) ought to be good for health and reasonably priced if you find them locally or at any reliable listing on-line.
ditto for figs/(dried anjeer).
mostly, the better kishmish/raisins and Figs are from Afghan or Iran/Iraq side.
