Sylvester Stallone is one of the most famous American Movie stars. With characters like Rocky and Rambo he is a household name in the hearts of millions.
During birth, a wrong gynecological procedure caused Stallone to have one sided paralysis. At school, his middle class being and his facial paralysis became a thing for others to make fun of.
He started body-building because he wanted to frighten those who bullied him. Slowly he started thinking of a career in movies.
Around 1974, he had a pregnant wife, a dog that he loved, a lot of bills to pay and no success in his movie career.
What he still had was a belief in his dream that he will make it big.
Soon a time came when he went broke. He was heavily under debt.
Restless, anxious, stressed and still loaded with hope that he WILL make it big.
Things got so bad that he had to sell his wife’s jewelry and ended up homeless. Sleeping at the New York Bus station for days.
The cold American winter forced him to choose between electricity and his dog. He stood outside a local store and sold his dog for $25.
Two weeks later, on TV he watched a boxing match between Mohammed Ali and Chuck Wepner. That match was like a flash of divine inspiration… For the next 20 hours he sat and wrote the script of what today is a cult movie, ROCKY.
In the words of Stallone, “After nearly 1500 rejections”, he got a production house to offer $125,000 for the script.
Despite the poverty, pains, pregnant wife and lost dog… His dream was to STAR in the movie as the MAIN LEAD.
In an era when heroes were super handsome men and spoke fluently, a body builder with a facial paralysis that made him stammer while speaking, made Stallone the wrong choice for any role.
The studio bluntly rejected his offer… And Stallone went back home with another failure.
A few weeks later,the studio offered him $250,000 for just the script, and not him.
He refused.
Soon they offered $350,000 for the script but not him.
At that time everyone was pushing him to accept. It would be MAD not to do so. He was making a fortune.
He still refused.
Someone in the studio really loved his script, and as fortune favors the brave. They finally accepted to give $35,000 for the script and have him as the lead star.
The rest as they say is history!
The movie was made for $1 million and went to make around $200 million.
It won the Oscar for Best Picture, Best Direction and Best Film Editing.
Stallone was a “bankable” hero for the next 20yrs, till the late 90s… with his movies making billions of dollars.
And what did he do with the first $35,000?
He stood outside the liquor store, where he sold his dog, for 3 days. Identified the man who had bought it, and finally got him back for $15,000.

Languaging in/of the invisible spectrum
All languages have developed on the basis of the three dimensional shapes, the feeling of touch,smell,pain,pleasure,taste,passion,lust,keeping the mind blank…
But most of the invisible spectrum, the gigantic 99.9963% of the total spectrum or the invisible spectrum, is not languaged. Many do feel, even understand, but there are no words to explain. The effort to develop into the précis of just 00.0037% or into the vocabulary of the visible spectrum has been continuous and relentless, but still not very successful. Into this field all sorts of economic spiritualists, most of them frauds have entered claiming special super natural powers, claiming to be the authorized brokers of God, or worse diverting the society into solidified mobs, sacrifice animals, stone/bury and kill women, the FGM, the Sathi till the advent of Raja Ram Mohan Roy and Sir William Bentick who mercifully could ban it,…making spirituality itself as the synonym of bigotry.
In spite of the efforts of scientists to unseat God from the field of science, many words are based on the paradigm of God. Theos means God. From there we have theory, thesis, Theology, Theocracy, Theism, Atheism…
Enthios means God, iasm means from within and enthusiasm means the God within. If I am not enthusiastic about say Chemistry, it means there is no God within me for Chemistry. If I am enthusiastic, it means that God has entered me to propel me to study that subject. Whether we realize it or not, the entire invisible spectrum is now mainly the preserve of the God paradigm. In his book—The Art of Seeing, M.R.Subramanian has actually attempted to give a tiny glimpse of the attempt to bring the précis of the gigantic invisible spectrum, which he described as the essence of the epiphanies of perception. But he too has not written anything about the need to develop a common language that designates by wording the infinite phenomena hiding in the invisible spectrum. The development of that language is extremely urgent. Otherwise the bluff called economic development which simply means the poisoning of land, water and air completely, will continue as the horrible atrocity is hiding in the wordless invisible spectrum. The atrocity has to be clearly exposed to all, the ordinary people. Then only the self maiming we are carrying on in the name of development will become clear and naked.
A lot of advancement has been achieved in the field of Quantum Physics, with the development of the standard model of quarks and leptons, the discovery of the gravitational waves, and in Genetics, in fact there are pioneers writing about the personalities of each chromosome…, but they are still in the stage of totally depending on computers and not on the basis of day today feeling based thought of the ordinary people. A language consists of words that create feelings and emotions, every word, phrase, clause; sentence…of every language can be interpreted and given an emotional meaning. But the so called feeling-less sciences, attempted mainly to get a clear and real picture without the adulteration of personal preferences has created the physics mimicry—economics, which protests that it is a Humanity and then deals with the human relations as mechanical engineering!
There is a need, an urgent need to develop the language capable of emotional meanings in the invisible spectrum. Then only the need to preserve the exhilarating emotional contours of nature can be made into the day today ordinary feeling. The bliss based study of the invisible spectrum is Yoga. There is a yogic path in sciences. In fact the extreme dependence on machines has to be reduced as the machines are making the human observer redundant organ by organ. Sublimation based Yoga combined with the revelations of the computer based studies, may be one path of developing the language in the invisible spectrum.
