Even though i know most ppl know how good dell is at customer experience lemme share u wat happnd to me…
I got a DELL ST2220M 21.5" LED monitor around Last year(2010) DEC..
Things hav been fine but suddenly 1 day my Motherboard got fried…
It was GIGABYTE 880 series northbridge board
it took a whole month to get replaced coz the vendor didnt hav stock so thumbs down for gigabyte
Then after i got ma board i noticed ma monitors DVI port is not workin… so i plugged in ma VGA cable
and evrythin is fine.. So i thot faulty DVI and got it replaced..
But aftr pluggin in ma brand new DVI cable still no signal …
I was SHOCKED!!!!!!!!!!!
T DVI port was toast not the monitor ?? tat was very odd…
So went on for around 2 months with monitor in VGA mode thinkn will replace it later(LAZY BUM I AM)!!
But since now THOR n FAST five n all are out + i got all HDRIPS wanna utilize DVI so gave DELL a call
There is no Direct no. to LCD/LED/Monitor section so u shud call any no. and tell em that its a monitor related issue
AHH and keep ur service TAG no. or SERIAL no. handy… u will need it
I got connectd to the monitor DEPT. guy and he strtd going thru trouble shootin steps..
Since i am a small techie myself I jumped in n told him wat all i did he paused 4 a moment and said kinldly hold lemme ask ma TL
r smthin lik tat… He came back and Told since u hav done all the troubleshootin we will replace it to u and when do u want it!!!!
I was like OMG tat was the easiest replacement in ma life..!!!!
Phew i told him ASAP .
he asked for a copy of the invoice… i told him m in a situation i cant get it scanned rite now..
He said no props jst take a picture and mail it to me
so i did and they told me monitor will be shipped in 2 – 3 days.. this was on monday this week
Today i got a call that i will recieve the monitor on monday…
M still pretty happy since ma area is a remote one in kerala + it mayb the ppl who r gonna deliver being a bum than Actually DELL delayin the process
SOOO>… m gettin ma replacement on monday …YEPPIEE!!!
I from here on Will ALWAYS GET DELL WHENEVER POSSIBLE..!!
Customer service comes to me right on top of ma list watevr the product i chose…
So ppl Dnt be shy whenevr ur gettin DELL dont HESITATE !!! CHEERS !!!!!!!
PS: U may have to w8 a while on DELL HOTLINE before gettin connected But dont worry it always turns out to be 4 the best!!!
But still DELL cmon get ur lines fixed !!!
