ESET NOD 32 SMART Security 5/6 edit delete delete with repost warning

Hi All,
I am a big fan of ESET Smart Security and have been using it since last few years. I bought ESET Smart Security v.5 few months back, hoping that everything will be smooth and easy. Although the security provided by ESET 5.0 is top class, I found lot of issues with its GUI.

Issues I observed (5.2.9):

1) If you are having a problem with your internet connection and if one if your ESET download update failed in-between, you will be in trouble. After a failed update, if you try to re-update it, ESET will oblige and download the update properly. However, to your surprise it will not be able to apply this update and you will end up downloading the update again n again hoping that this time it will be applied !!!!!
2) If you run the Scan and in between you want to pause it…. then you won’t be able to do that !!!!!!
==> Then you would try to shut down the ESET and would try to re-start it. To your surprise you won’t be able to do that !!!!
==> To do this, you will have to start your computer in safe mode and then will have to explicitly stop the ESET Service.
==> Then you will have to restart your machine and uninstall ESET. Thwn you will have to re-install ESET and everything will be good again.
==> If you are having a bad internet connection where you might lose connectivity in-between… you will be in dead trouble. You won’t be able to update the ESET definitions.
3) Although the security provided by ESET is just great (I’m still a fan), to my opinion 5.2.9 is not at all a stable version.

Silver Lining:
======
1) ESET is having new version (6.0) which is currently in RC (Release Candidate) mode. I have installed it today and am loving it. The GUI updates are also good. + It is having Anti Theft feature as well.
+ Your credentials for previous version will also work on 6.0 version.

ESET has relased final version 6.0

smart security uses pessimistic blocking, IMHO it becomes a liability to use with its false positives, it often blocks all incoming traffic if it flags as potentially dangerous, other day it blocked google DNS 8.8.8.8 , it took me some time to realize why net connection was not working, on threat of possible DNS poisoning, I prefer Eset Nod32 antivirus with optimistic blocking using windows built in firewall, Often best combination for home and casual users, spending extra money on cumbersome firewall is bad investment.
will certainly check version 6, I hope it is light weight like version 4, version 5 was bulky and made GUI confusing..

I have been using ESET 6 since last week and m really happy with its stability

I am using NOD32 for past 8 years
I am happy with it!

I’ve been using it for past 5 years with little issues but i’ve tried all other AV s/w and this is a standout!!!
The first and impressive thing about Eset is that it doesn’t take up ur memory even while doing a complete scanning and mostly detects all threats.

So thumps up to Eset
