Fake Nokia BH-505 from Fashion and You

On the second thought, why don’t I take the matter to Nokia itself and let them be informed about these cheap rip-offs. I guess they can sue these cheapskates and have them living in stinky cells.

Or maybe they outsourced their products directly from Piss plaza……LOL

I was mailed a return form after trying so hard by contact them through deals and you and all as their customer care number doesn’t work.
I have sent them back the headset and waiting for them to contact. I have a feeling this is all going to end up bad. Anyway I am all set to approach Consumer Court in case of such an incident.

The original one has 3 pairs of ear-plugs to suit different ear-sizes. The buttons and rockers were so flimsy that it would rattle every time you make even the slightest move. It even had a little bit of scratches on it and the usual white text that Nokia puts for product related information was all yellowy and stained. To make it more clear, the user manual didn’t have the usual Nokia quality and it felt as if it was a cheap printed one with the ink smudged all over it. I thought it was better not to use the headphones at all and file for a return and refund .

p. I called up Fashion and You to make a complaint in their given contact number and it says the number is invalid . Then I filled up the form they have given for customer support and I am waiting for their call for the past 6 hours. I am going to drag them all the way to Consumer Court in Calicut if they are not giving a replacement or a refund.

p. I think this turned out more of a Fahion and You review rather than the BH-505 review. Anyway my suggestion is not to be fooled by the Fashion and You website anymore and though I’m not sure about this, you should take a bit of caution not to be dragged by the “Upto 80% off on Nokia Bluetooth Headsets” ad by their sister concern, Deals and You. Better trust Flipkart or Letsbuy as they have proven to be extremely reliable with every purchase I ever made.

I ordered for a Nokia Blue tooth head set bh505. I have been faked with a duplicate product.The moment i saw I felt it duplicate.And i confirmed it once i heard the output sound from the headset.I saw in many websites that fashion and you is faking.Still i believed fashion and you and ordered this product.I dint find any headset sponges which is usually provided with the headset.Also i dint find any warranty.I am planning to take the product o Nokia Store and going to confirm the product.If i find the product original then please send me the headset sponges.If i find the product fake,I am going to take this to Nokia and else consumer complaints of India.

They’ve given me a cash refund after countless attempts without any immediate responses. It was almost as if they knew the issue and had chosen to ignore it.
The only replies I got were one e-mail with a return form and another one mentioning the return. No phone-calls, nothing!!

This issue had really got on my nerves and I was almost about to sue them in the consumer court. It was more about the feeling of being cheated than the money that was lost. And one fine day I recieved a mail from Fashionandyou mentioning I was refunded Rs.1599 (Price of the crappy headphone) plus Rs.100/- (Cash-on-Delivery Charges) and was relieved. I had forgotten to write the Cost of shipment on the form as I was in a hurry due to the 10 day return policy and because I also had to send back a Philips SHP-1900 which had failed (from Flipkart) and they promptly haven’t paid me that. Anyway I am going to send a copy of the shipment bill and see if they are going to honour that.

Anyway as it was mentioned, the defective Philips Headphones from Flipkart was promptly replaced within 3-4 days after complaining and the sweet people had even arranged for reverse pick-up and I didn’t have to break a sweat on that. The customer support was worth praising as they handles it neatly. And the outcome, I immediately ordered a set of 2.1 speakers for my li’l bro from Flipkart as I was extremely satisfied with whole experience.

And FashionAndYou have fallen from graces in my heart and I don’t think I am ever going to make a purchase from them ever again. I really don’t get how they got listed as one of the best internet business start-ups. They really need to learn from the likes of Flipkart if they want to keep their business alive. The difference in delivery times were like 3-4 days with Flipkart and 3-4 weeks with FashionandYou. And I don’t need to mention the quality of customer care again as you might have already read that or you might have a previous experience with them.

Anyway I am not here to set any rules… But as wise Dimers, study the quality of the sellers from the advises of the senior Dimers and the experienced ones and make sure you are putting your hard earned money on the right ones…

An addendum to the experience, I accidently bumped into one of my friends while I was at my hometown and he was wearing a Nokia BH-505. When I asked him how much he had paid for that, he replied somewhere around Rs.1500-1600/-. I was panicked cuz of my experience and immediately scruteneered the product. It was most defenitly an original one. Every single bit of it was different from what I had got from FashionandYou and it was every single bit identical to one one of my other friends had bought from Nokia. Sadly though, when I asked him were did he buy it from, he said couldn’t remember the website.
