i wanted to purchase a stereo Bluetooth headset for a long time and one fine (or rather disastrous) day, I found Nokia BH-505 offered in Fashion and You for Rs.1599/-. I was surprised to see the price of the headphones and as usual, I went through a couple of dozens of websites and forums for a product review and all of them stated it was an excellent product with a sturdy built quality. So i put my money on it and kept the fingers crossed for the magnificent BH-505 to arrive .
After waiting for about 3 weeks, BH-505 was delivered and I eagerly opened the box . The first shock was awaiting me. Even thought the Fahion and You box was intact, the BH-505 box was pre-opened and was a bit crushed . Anyway I opened the box.
I took out the headphones and the second shock was taking it’s strike. The plastic quality felt so cheap and the Nokia logo felt as if it was a fake one. And to confirm the product was not original, it did not have the white intra-aural ear-plugs that the BH-505 has and it was having a rubbery, black ear bud instead . The original one has 3 pairs of ear-plugs to suit different ear-sizes. The buttons and rockers were so flimsy that it would rattle every time you make even the slightest move. It even had a little bit of scratches on it and the usual white text that Nokia puts for product related information was all yellowy and stained. To make it more clear, the user manual didn’t have the usual Nokia quality and it felt as if it was a cheap printed one with the ink smudged all over it. I thought it was better not to use the headphones at all and file for a return and refund .
I called up Fashion and You to make a complaint in their given contact number and it says the number is invalid . Then I filled up the form they have given for customer support and I am waiting for their call for the past 6 hours. I am going to drag them all the way to Consumer Court in Calicut if they are not giving a replacement or a refund.
I think this turned out more of a Fahion and You review rather than the BH-505 review. Anyway my suggestion is not to be fooled by the Fashion and You website anymore and though I’m not sure about this, you should take a bit of caution not to be dragged by the “Upto 80% off on Nokia Bluetooth Headsets” ad by their sister concern, Deals and You. Better trust Flipkart or Letsbuy as they have proven to be extremely reliable with every purchase I ever made.
