homeshop18 is a big fraud edit delete delete with repost warning

i bought levis jeans pair as shown in there tv show 1+1 offer,along with 2 peter England shirts, i got a message saying that my order was cancelled and when i mailed them they said that they will send the levis jeans but peter england shirts was cancelled due to stock issue.
i got the pair after 15 days via blue-dart and when i opened it i was shocked to see that both the black and blue pair of jeans was used ones the original tags was not present and they used some local made tags and they tied the tags using jute threads, really they wrer clearly worn-out jeans, so i called there cc and said the same, she assured me that they will arrange a reverse pickup via aremax but even after 10 days no one had come even after many reminders they failed to take them back, so after consulting there cc i shipped them myself , but they refused the refund as because i couldn’t return them in good condition , really god knows what it was, i called the cc and asked about the same and she said as i opened and tags was removed they cant refund amount and sent back the same worn out jeans to me, i was really mad because first they were second hand used jeans and without proper tags. and on it they were saying i changed the tags, really good loss of my money and time, i threw them in dustbin as cannot thing wat to do with used jeans.

guys plz never buy apparel from them, also there working style is similar to tradus.in, they wont ship the goods directly as letsbuy.com does ,but some seller will do it for them so we cannot trust them, and tradus.in cc is very good and follow up is also good.

note- this happened 5 months ago as i got good platform i am sharing now.

also i bought the same Levis brand blue jeans from yebhi during ipl with 1000 off coupon when i wicket fell and these were also used one , but i returned the product to yebhi i got my money back ,also i got 1000 rs pc i.e promo code used to buy the same

so in general i think iam not that comfortable ordering apparel online as cannot no what the quality could be, plz views are welcomed

they have been delaying it like hell

they didnt even ship it by 3rd june just wrote handed to courier fr 4days
finally after nagging for 4days through email i got a sms yesterday with tracking order

packing was bad
no bubble wrap so d box was damaged quite a lot
but looks like the controller is ok…….

i ordered a mobile phone and a earphone from them and the packing was good and delivery prompt… maybe i got lucky…. or maybe you were the unlucky one.. but overall… i had a good experience with homeshop18

in hopeshop18.com my 3rd shopping experience is also pathetic, i bought Himalaya chawanprash with lk bhai advice i saved almost 300 rs 1000 or 30% on whole,it was really great as i use to buy directly from Himalaya with 20 % off

but sad part is that they cancelled the order saying it was out off stock, how come they dont know this before placing an order, 20 days gone still my money not refunded ,but what i got is mail apologizing and gv with 100 off on 500

still waiting for refund ,called 3 times same answer from them will get my money in 2 days

I have placed 8 orders till date. No issues with any of that. So, for me, its a great website, low prices, awesome service.

Just realized how pathetic HomeShop18 is. No Choice of Colors for mobiles. Most products are not delivered to all over india, not even in metropolitans like Kolkata. Mumbai!! Really lagging behind other indian online shopping sites. Backward

I selected 3 phones on HS18 and thought of buying 1 of then using these coupons. No Color option for Nokia x2-01 and Samsung Corby2. Samsng wave s5253 not shipped to Kolkata. Damn!! You just cant buy anything from HS18 due to some reason or the other. Really bad experience.

also placed another with 250 off coupon really hoping they will deliver ,will update soon

and this time the gamble paid off placed 3 items all in 1 order, 2 items delivered in 5days ,still w8ing for the book i placed

the best part is with every item they sent a pen and a coaster , 1 of the item was stick book worth 3rs used as filler

I don’t know about the apparels but as far as electronics specially mobiles r concerned I have excellent experience with them till date I have purchased 6 mobile handsets with them using 1000 of on 5000 codes through different id’s and received them in original packed box with proper bill. Also I have ordered fastrack girl wallet few days back using 250 of on 500 code which I received in 4 working days instead of 9 to 10 working days written on their web site.

Same experience here! Attempted to buy a fone, but at the last step its said they cant ship to my pin code. Tried other pin codes of Poona city, and none were accepted! Thats makes it the 1st e-com site that says it can’t ship to Poona! Don’t know if its because of Octroi in Maharashtra. Anyway, it was time wasted for me.

Previously bought a Clifton track pant and leather keychains. Clifton quality disappointed; but the leather keychains were outright rubbish! There was even a customer review saying the quality is amazing!! When I posted my review, they did not publish it! They refunded the keychain cost though, after I told them what I thought about it. But not publishing my review is still what I’d hold against them. Overall, mixed feelings about them.

Borg drone, I would suggest a honest review on mouthshut (mentioned it yesterday too on the Big Bazaar thread) and you will be mostly getting a call from one of their managers and not the CCs. Then u can then fight with them if you feel u have got the wrong end of the stick.

I was thinking of buying a 32GB SDHC card from them but after reading this thread, Im holding the deal.

The problem is that homeshop18 is only a third party sort of like ebay but a little better because hs18 sellers are genuine. Your order delivery depends on how long the seller(not hs18) takes to ship your product.

btw, hs18 does declare in its conditions page that it wont be responsible if anything bad happens. I’m not sure how grievances are handled but I asked CC to reveal the name and location of my seller but it refused to do so citing company policy.

After they refunded the keychain cost, I kinda let it go… But I guess I could still do the mouthshut thing after I find some time. But it shows that they ain’t all above board. Else they should at least have published my short review. If they are deliberately picking/selecting/writing bogus reviews, its a pretty bad omen.

That makes eBay a lot better as they freely allow you to contact sellers. And they don’t seem to censor reviews. But problem is eBay is only extremely short reviews can be written, and no way to see reviews for particular products. And if listing is pvt., then nothing useful visible.

have done a lot of transactions on hs18. for me, it is one of the best. recently ordered a microwave and got it delivered within 3 days. I rate it in top 3 out of 25-30 websites I have shopped at.

Iam also satisfied with homeshop18…They are one of the best in india now…
It is few of their vendors who sends some defective products or something like that…We have to complain regarding that ASAP….Overall im satisfied with them.

Got problems with two of my orders,they refunded the amount for one order and solved the problem for another order…

I agree…even my pincode is not supported but i just used another city’s pincode but given the correct city name and pincode again in the address option…Mostly,their vendors send via bluedart(my location supports all courier companie,thats why i tried this)…i got all my products even if my pincode is not listed.

Homeshop18 should change that stupid option of delivering to few cities when they are sending by bluedart,first flight…DUMB HS18

yestday i received micromax mobile from hs18 ( 21st century vendor). after openinig the box shocked to see mobile with broken screen.raised ticked and got reply to send through tnt courier.now iam not sure they are going to replace or refund my money.
this is happening bcoz they are using third party vendor.

I have had good experience with them as of now. I have mainly bought electronics only, like pen drives, battery chargers, memory cards, headphones etc. The only issue is, they ship the product a bit late.. Like, take 2-4 days to merely ship the product! Though it takes only about 1-2 days after the shipping takes place (have received all products through Aramex Courier). So yeah, once getting used to Flipkart’s rocket shipping and delivery (more often than not), HS18s and Infibeams look a bit slower.

HomeShop18 is not that bad, means not worse than others, even ebay cancels the orders sometimes. I bought Note 2 (SP Rs-33K) from them, they delivered it on the 4th day, brand new seal packed. I only have issues with their site that they do not deliver to Navi Mumbai, and I am running out of favors from Mumbai folk, They only deliver worthless (read very common items) to Navi mumbai, That can be better bought by going to the local mall,
I think for OP, the jeans are not used, they are just old, meaning have been on shelf for some times and have seen, one or two clearance sales, Anyone who has ever bought foreign brands from from retailers like “Loot Mart/The Loot” can testify that some items were missing packaging and on some tags were often tied with jute strings, I don’t exactly know how they came to acquire these items, but when you buy international brands like GAS, Timberland, Levis, Lee for around 1K what do you expect?,
2 years back i bought a wrangler, Cotton jeans from Loot Mart for 500 bucks, I remembered it had tags with jute string “Sutli” and even a radio tag still attached, and was dirty as if it was lying on dust covered floor, It cleaned up really nice after 2 hrs of washing in boiling water in washing machine. Till date it is one of my favorite clothing.
For good clothes i Suggest, Shoppers Stop but then they are anything but cheap
