How to write a good Store review? edit delete delete with repost warning

We are very happy to see genuine customers sharing their shopping experience in the Store reviews section. Many are still not aware about the Official reviews section, which we hope would become a powerful tool for shoppers to make decision on whether to buy at store X or store Y. Also, we are open to suggestions on how we can make store reviews section a better and trustful resource…

How to submit a review?

A review need not necessarily be all praises. Feel Betrayed after shopping at store X? Then you must surely submit a review so more dimers are aware about it. Or really love the bargain and service you just got… Then share and let others know so they can shop without feeling tensed about putting their hard-earned money on that very tempting deal…

Step 3 – Important Guidelines

Now go ahead and write your heart out. But remember few things:

• Include information on what you bought, on which date and order number, whenever possible. If you did not buy anything yet, there is no point writing a review… So include relevant information as it allows people to trust your word. Including order number etc makes your review a solid review backed by facts.
• Include information on any pain points you may have faced while shopping on the website or until the product was delivered.
• Try to break you review around 6 points
  • Product and Service Pricing
  • Shipping and Packaging
  • Chance of Future Purchase
  • Customer Service
  • Returns and Replacement Policy
  • Website’s Ease of Use
• You may have a very poor experience but its not acceptable to use abusive or bad language. Use some strong words and it still gets across the point you are trying to make.

We cannot approve reviews which are not backed with facts. Below are examples of few bad reviews:

Self promoting your website with reviews wont help either. Its only meant for buyers.

Common FAQs

• Do Stores Have any control over which reviews are approved and which are not?
  Absolutely Not! Our content team does background study of who submitted the review and we do ask for additional information whenever we see a review that does not look authentic. Our current approval rate is a mere 50%. Stores have absolutely no control over which reviews are approved or not.

• I recently posted a review but it does not show up.
  It would take a minimum of 24 to 48 hours for the review to be proof read before its approved. Keep an eye on your message folder. We may email you for additional details, if we feel its just a troll or someone who is trying self-promotion tactics. Reviews from members with special badges are automatically approved.

• I rated a store but I have a different opinion now. How do I update the review?
  You can update your review any time. Simply go back to the store page and click on “Submit Review” again. You will be able to edit the review which will be approved within 24 to 48 hours, if it does not violate any review policies.

• How do I trust that evaluations are not submitted by the merchant themselves?
  We use variety of techniques to ensure authenticity of the evaluations including manual review of each rating submitted. We also track their previous posts submitted on DesiDime to make an educated guess. You must feel free to contact the admin team, if you think that a review does not sound to be authentic. Our content team can always do a re-evaluation, in such cases.

• This store is a cheat. How can it be so highly rated?
  We do not rate any companies. DesiDimers do. If you believe otherwise, why not write a review and let the world know your side of story??

New Features in the pipeline

• Allow to rate reviews as “Helpful” or “Not Helpful”
• Flag reviews that sounds suspicious.
• Allow desidimers to comment on the reviews
• Allow merchants to claim their page and comment on reviews submitted.

is there any dimes i get when i submit review ?? bcoz 2 days back i wrote review abt site yebhi in same performa u hve mention , still i hven’t got any dimes….. & what is any other way to increase our dimes apart from making new forum for new deal ? ( bcoz nowadays ppl don’t trust deal newbie like me to share coupon / give free coupon , i m regularly posting in different forums but i guess for that we don’t get any dimes !!!!! )
