My new google nexus 4 phone review

FIRST,MY LUCKY PURCHASE PROCESS :
1)Through google playstore website,i purchased TWO 16gb nexus 4 phones each for 349$+20$(tax)…around rs.20,000 each.
2)And recently i sold my second phone for rs.30k in quickr website….

PHONE BODY & DISPLAY:
1)its 4.7" IPS screen is stunning with 768/1280pixels which goes upto 320ppi and no glare.
2)no physical buttons at all…
3)super slim with 9.1mm width but moderate weight 133gm.
4)there is a thick protective glass on back side & it is shiny!!
5)Excellent sound quality with 3D images in music player!!!
6)micro sim only

MEMORY:
no card slot
i bought 16gb version…with 2gb ram
& google cloud storage is available

CAMERA:

1)8MP with AUTOFOCUS,flash.
2)images quality is far better than galaxy s3…i tested!
3)1.3mp secondary cam is present.

PROCESSOR:
1)quad core 1.5 ghz with qualcomm chipset.
2)awesome adreno320 graphic card.
*i played all latest high end games like nfs mw2,rip tide,mass effect,back stab….all worked excellently!
*no radio

BATTERY:
Biggest battery with 2100mah which is non removable.
*battery lasts upto 8hrs for me.

BEST PART :
ITS COSTS ONLY RS.20,300…if bought through play store.

CONS:
1)Limited memory
2)sensitive back side glass
3)no 4g LTE….not a big problem i guess

PROS:
Best phone available for 20k with superb features….almost better than every phone present right now (except for note2)!!

@DEAL$TER…yea,LG 1yr warranty booklet is provided…but i don’t think its helpful until LG launches its Nexus in India. And my friend brought the phones to India

Niceee… Well i dont have anyone there.. anyway i am planning to upgrade my atrix 2 to a 5" or more screen size.. wish it had those those extra .3".

@DEAL$TER….am extra satisfied with 4.7" size but i too like 5" or mor screen sized phones….hope google releases nexus 5 along with galaxy s4 asap with reasonable price!!!

Ok Now some time for the comparisons. I have been using GS3, Nexus 4 and Iphone 4 for a while now, so have made a few comparisons. I know Iphone 4 is kind of anomaly, but I did not feel like upgrading to IP 5 when it was launched as there was no dramatic change. So bought a S3 instead. Although I have used the my friends IP5 for a while and I can say that I was still not impressed.

1. Processing power

Nexus 4 wins here because of the quad core processing. Shame GS3 is offered only in dual core mode in US. Iphone 5 ranks last here. The top in the list is however Optimus G by LG, have not tried the phone hands-on though. Overall, considering the cost factor, the Nexus 4 is hard to beat. Also the operating system is unique for the Nexus phones, so you get a priority in getting future updates.

2. Display
I personally like vivid colors and bright picture. So I will go with the super amoled display of GS3. However, if you like natural skin tones and colors, better stick with the Nexus 4 or IPhone 5. The display is crisp in Nexus 4. The display size just a teeny bit small than GS3 in case of Nexus 4. The iphone 5 has an odd kind of aspect ratio as well, so if you are into HD video viewing, stick to Nexus 4 or GS3.

3. Built
The built quality and looks are the best on Iphone 5 due to its aluminum casing and gorilla glass display, followed by GS3. The Nexus 4 looks the most fragile of them all. Nexus is also the most bulkiest phone.

4. Battery life
Battery life is almost similar on the Nexus 4 (around 12 hrs), GS3 and Iphone (around 8 hrs) have a decent battery life as well, but still cannot compare dual with quad core processing. GS3 has a removable battery which is kind of an advantage here.

5. Connectivity
GS3 and Iphone both support LTE which is absent in the Nexus 4. So thats a major drawback, atleast in the US, however for India its fine, as we still use gprs, edge and 3g. NFC is present is both Nexus and GS3, but not on iphone.

6. Memory
All the phones have 16gb memory, but only GS3 has the expandable memory slot and OTG, so it wins in this segment. The bad thing is that Nexus 4 does not support OTG as well. So you’re stuck with 16 gb, unless they put the feature in next firmware update.

7. Camera
Camera is the best on Iphone, followed by GS3. I found the camera on the Nexus a bit disappointing. For skype video call, I found the front camera quality to be the best on GS3 followed by iphone 5. The nexus was not per my expectations on the video calling dept, maybe because of the poor front camera.

-Nexus 4 not supporting OTG is a big disappointment for me….though nexus 7,10 supports otg!
