My shopping experiences for the last 5 years

Hi,
I have been actively shopping on the net for the last 5 years and here are my experiences for the same. Will keep updating as I continue :
1. Rediff.com – No free shipping, reverse pickup for damaged products does not happen. Havent shopped with them for 2 years now.
2. Yebhi 
- My best shopping site so far. Very fast delivery. Usually ship by BlueDart. BTW I stay in Gurgaon so that may be a factor. Packing is above average. Give good coupon discounts. Have toll free number to call.
3. FutureBazaar 
- Normally ship fast (7 day promise is not always kept). New shipping charge of 100 for below 1000 shopping is bad. Use Blue Dart. Packing standards have gone for a toss since December 2011. CC does not respond easily to mails. No 1800 no. so be prepared to shell out money to talk to them. Reverse pickup worked for me once. Looted them during 100 off time in nov/dec 2011.
4. Seventymm – Better go COD with them as they may cancel your order anytime and will not inform you about it as well. Packages may not reach you intact. Refunds using coupons only means you will get your paid money back with loss of coupon. Shipping is slow > 15 days.
5. SnakeDeal 
- Quick shipping (< 7 days) using BlueDart. Very good packaging. Got my phone from them.
6. Pepperfry – Waiting for delivery of order. Use Low grade courier/speedpost for shipping.
7. Deals and You 
- Stay away – they do not honour their deals. Delivery > 30 days.
8. Bindaas Bargain - Fast shipping – Very good packing, Coupons are rare.
9. Babyoye :-|- Very bad CC – Late/No response to mails – Refunds are given as store credit 
Packing not very good. Goods damaged but no reverse pickup happened.
10. FirstCry – Quick delivery
11. Lenskart – Good packing – Very fast shipping using Blue Dart. Free lenses with frame and anti-glare coating is good option. Frequently give out coupons. However frames are expensive and nothing good for <500. They offer only 3 frame sizes which does not fit all contrary to what they claim. After my bad experience with dtdc asked them not to use dtdc – they agreed and sent by bluedart.
12. Craftsvilla - Very good products – Very expensive – Fast shipping – Good packing
13. Buyatbrands – They use DTDC which is unreliable.Only used once so far. Got my watch after 1 month and had to ask khoj**** to intervene. DTDC courier guy lost/stole the first watch – followed up with dtdc for 2 months – then they stopped responding – gave up – buyatbrands shipped a second watch – came with dead battery.
14. Others I will add as I remember.
Update 1.
14. 99labels – Used once to redeem joining points – they shipped after 20 days – packing was not very good – product was not damaged but the outer box was so could not gift it.
15. bagittoday – bagshi*today is the correct name – stay away
16. Tradus – Have not used them since they changed their name – when they used to offer stuff by bidding used them a lot and got all stuff on time.
17. Myntra – Used them during free mug time only – mugs came by bluedart and in very good packing.
18. Indiaplaza – No 1800 no. Bad cc – Replies to complaints are very late – took 5 months to get full refund. I had asked for change of shipping address in one case within 2 hours of placing an order but after 10 days stuff was attempted delivery at old(wrong) address.
19. freecharge – they charge 10 rs for coupons even if these are sent online which is wrong. For paper vouchers coupons came by DTDC who are a joke. Once coupon did not come and got a new set after complaining after 1 month.
20. surat diamonds – used sdj1200 extensively – shipping is late but packaging is good. cc responds to emails.
21. shopclues – used my 100 points – product delivered in 3 days –
22. bundlebazi – placed my first order yesterday – already they have cancelled the zero priced items saying wrong pricing.
23. indiatimes – cc is a joke – no response to mails – refunds I am waiting for last 15 days – few items have been shipped → BB coupons
24. hoopos – had ordered from them when they came online and gave freebie coupons – all deliveries received – next time used 100 off 150 coupons – product rcvd as well – after that cc has not responded to any mail of mine.
25. TBD
Very useful thread. Long term reports can help in identifying online shopping sites.
My 2 dimes:
Yebhi: Service has improved since they started. Earlier used to be BAD, now improved with Reverse pickup, good CC. Refunds still take long time but overall satisfied now. Send wrong sizes sometimes(3 orders for me).
Letsbuy: CC Poor, after sales support bad. Some ok deals in-between.
Ebay: Many sellers ship fake products. Sometimes refunds are easy other times they don’t listen. Not entirely satisfied.
Tradus: Poor CC, vey-very late refunds. New coupons not issued these days.
Futurebazaar: Ok CC, Proper Invoices not sent, products OK. Overall not very satisfied.
Myntra: Good shipping & products. Good deals too.
Fashion&You: Worst site by far. Poorest CC, Bad refund policy, cheap shipping, high shipping charges. Long waiting times before shipping. Order something & receive some other thing(cheaper).
Brandmile: Slow.
99Labels: Very slow, no proper refunds.
Bindassbargains: Shipping ok but Chinese products.
AajKaCatch: Chinese products.
AajKaItem: Chinese items.
Infibeam: Late shipping.
BagItToday: Very late shipping.
NOT TRIED: Indiaplaza, Timtara, Koovs, 70mm, Indiatimes, etc. because of BAD reviews.

Don’t know about owner but know that their warehouse shifted from delhi to gurgaon. BTW healthkart is also Gurgaon based.

I have reviewed seventymm – use cod with them.
25. Koovs – Used them twice – 1st time to buy the 30% healthkart coupons – no problems as these were in my account. Next used the 50 off 51 from freecharge…….2 shaving brushes & 2 bowls delivered via blue dart – however on the site shipping date showed 23 december – bluedart showed pickup happened on 7th jan – bd delivered on 9th.

Fashionandyou.com – Very slow delivery, took 2 months to deliver the express 24 delivery wall clock, chinese products. good pics but poor quality
buyatbrands.com- took 10 days to deliver a tissot watch which was supposed for 7 days. good discounts
tradus.in – good shipping and delivery.. nice offers on pendrives only
buytheprice – nice packing buy slow delivery
Koovs.com – Nice offers but 1 month delivery for a ladies watch i got for self
Myntra.com – nice price before but very high prices now..
Ebay.in – depends on the seller. lost 299 rs once in a fake seller. tired of calling CCE

Just wanted to add that be careful while specifying your address to pepperfry – even though you type your full address – in the tag that they print for shipping only the first 2 comma separated sentences are printed. For example if your address is mr x, c/o yz comp, somewere, some street, some house no., some PO, city, pincode, phone – what gets printed is mr x, c/o yz comp,city, pincode, phone – now it is upto the courier guys to decide if they want to call you and confirm address or not – also they use speed post and I am waiting for last 5 days for a call from them – I know this because another shipment from afl reached after the courier guy called me and i saw this on the package.
Wow Shalabh. These guys can’t even print addresses now. What a startup!!!!

Looks like AFL lost my package already then. I am trying to have a talk with them now but their number doesn’t connect. AFL sucks, I wonder to myself how the fcuk can a Fedex operate like this.Oh maybe they too got a taste of the way things operate in our country after all.
After reading this post of yours, I have already started to hate Pepperfry somewhat. I wish those idiots had sent in the package through speed post coz my postman is an excellent and immaculate guy and provides me the best of services every single time from the past 2-3 years now with no tensions or a nervous moment and not like some god forsaken $hit American courier company that doesn’t even have a valid phone number to connect to or the logistical support to deliver to all the nooks and corners of the country.Fcuk AFL man.

Excuse me for the delayed response coz I was away this whole time but as for that Shankar “breathless” Mahadevan style of writing is concerned, I wanna tell you that, that is the way I speak in actual as well. I try to be my best when it comes to punctuations and they mean something to me.
Like if I were to throw in an exclamation mark in my sentence, I expect the reader to exclaim that sentence while reading it to himself.I don’t just go about randomly putting those punctuation marks without bringing in some sense to it. But still your concern is duly noted with me and I’ll take care of it in the future.:-}

Pottyfry instead of pepperfry is really nice.
Pottyfry sent 1 delivery by speedpost – their website shows delivery on 9th but I havent got it and I called up 4 PO in Gurgaon and nobody has anyidea who delivered it – each person gives me another number to call- pottyfry cc asked to get in touch with speed post center and see what happened when I did that.

Yup! Me too man.Pepper “Potty” Fry Completely focked up the address on all the shipments, no mention of the building name nor that of the locality. Just name, House number, City,Pin Code and cell number.
It ’s the first time ever that I am facing such a problem and the poor courier guys have been at the receiving end till we ultimately find out that it is actually potty that needs to be fried and not the courier guys.

Snapdeal:packing is gr8. In fact i think it must have cost them more for the packing than the item purchased(3 items purchased)
Koovs:shipping was good(arnd 4 days) but item not upto expectations(1 item purchased till date)
ebay:totally depends on seller .Had a bad experience with seller but ebay took his side and also ebayhas NOT shped my MEGA DIWALI gift till date.So thinking not to purchase from ebay anymore as offers are mostly better on other sites as well without the inconsistency of the sellers.(12 purchases)

BuythePrice:Used only when 500 off coupon was available(3 purchases)(hardly any coupons nowadays)
LensKart:Excellent shipping and packing(1 purchase).Surely would recommend
HS18: shipping and packing are decent. Shipping time a bit fluctuating between 4-10 days
Fopping: Bought 2 free orders with 100 shipping and a puma bag for 1000(damn slow shipping)
Tradus: Offers are available once in while.So can purchase then(1 purchase)
PlaygroundOnline: Decent shipping time and pretty good packing and they surely accommodate faster shipping requests when placing bulk or huge value orders(13 purchases till date).
SoldinSixty: Most products are available on other sites at better prices.Bought here when saw the decathlon brand for hte first time(2 purchases)(shpng is a bit slow)
Flipkart:Excellent delivery and nothing can beat them in the efficiency of delivery and customer care(one time my friend had got a defective lappy in mumbai and when asked for the replacement they did it promptly and that too in delhi where he was at that time)(2 purchases)(bad thing is no coupons applicable)
Indiaplaza:Decent shipping time but had a bad experience with them for a item OOS issue(lost 100 here)but other than that satisfied by the site(4 purchases mostly books)
Infibeam:bought a book long time back transaction was ok. Shipping and packing were decent
I think except for a few sites like flipkart and lenskart , in most other sites some one or the other has had a problem but I think its a case to case issue and does not mean they eat up everything without sending the product.In my case after I made the purchase on Koovs I read a post telling that it is a fraud site and that they dont ship, and was very worried even after I got the AWB number. But whole process was smooth and shipping was done in 4 days.Got the product on 6th day. In my case except for indiaplaza (only in 1 of the 4 purchases ) all my transactions were smooth.
Anyone here bought anything from Sulekha deals? I am planning to buy a tablet and they had the best deal so was thinking of going for it but no clue about their service and since it is a rather costly purchase I want to exercise a little caution.
