Scam like responses from quickr

Yes, they do have these funny kind of scam responses. I used to get quite a few of those.

They normally start with , " …I’m interested in buying this item. Could you please get back to me etc.etc."

Quite amusing, sometimes.

If you’ve a bit of time, you can play with them. You can start by conveying your suspicions, and you allege he’s not a genuine buyer, and you’d like to have a different mode of payment etc. Loads of fodder. You’ll always get a response.

a few things I tried to do-
I tried to track his ip address by checking the email IP but it did not resolve to anything

Googled some stuff and found similar webpages here with literally the same address-

-Also, why would a person buy a second hand ipad from me and then spend another 6k bucks to send it to Nigeria (I’m selling my ipad for 15k….so 15+6=21k….put another 7k and get a brand new ipad 3

-On researching that blog, I found that the scam is to send a phishing email back that spoofs paypal (or maybe any banking account) saying that you have received payment so you go ahead and send the item.

I think if you have received a message from a gmail ID you won’t be able to resolve the IP and track the location (because it will always show you an IP of USA).

Of course he is a fraud but anyways tell him you want the money to be sent via western union and see what he says
