Sennheiser CX 200 Street II from Indiaplaza (fake product being sold)

Guys, I, like many other desidimers, purchased the cx200 street from indiaplaza. Must say that I’m very disappointed with the sound. It had no bass, sounded like sound coming from a hollow pipe. Now, I know that the product is not bad mainly for 2 reasons:
- I have some experience with earphones: I have used – Creative ep- 630, ep-830, soundmagic pl-11, pl-30, ajays four. So I know what good sound is about. Well I haven’t really tried earphones (costing 10k and above) but I believe you can easily tell the difference between a fake and a original.

We know that the product is good:

-Furthermore, reading this has convinced me even more that its a fake:

-The earphones were, surprisingly, box packed, the spellings were correct.
-Please vote this up if you believe that its a fake, vote down if you feel that you’ve received a original.
I find it hard to believe that Indiaplaza is doing this (they are risking their name for this)

Indiaplaza has many Chinese items listed like eBay. I too have received low quality products recently like these:

The pictures look nice on their website but what they deliver is inferior products whose value is just double of local market (after applying coupons!)

Its definitely fake, I did not have time to take a photo and upload.
As you said, no spelling mistakes or anything that will make help visually determine that it is a fake product. The length of cable is, probably, shorter than the normal one. The earphone adapters should have been 3 sets – 1 Small, 1 Medium and 1 Large, I received 2 mediums. Sound coming out of these phones were horrible.
Did anybody return this back to IP?

I would agree, it looks like an orignal, will try and post pics once I reach home (@ work now). Wonder whether they will accept it back.

I called up IP customer service and informed them that the headphones that I received are not genuine. The representative listened to my request, created a ticket. As per the ticket update , I was asked to ship the item back to them and they will pay the shipping charges if I sent the scan copy of the bill. I have shipped the headphones back to them today, will keep you updated with progress. I am requesting them to provide me a genuine replacement.

Thanks, I only wonder if they have a genuine replacement! Three others in my office bought the same product and all were the same…….I think the best option is to ask for your money back

I had warned the users before in the post that it was a fake…I think you should also post the pictures of the product you received from IP, so that other users can have an idea…
