What happened when My order Was cancelled in homeshop18

I dont have a doubt that homeshop18 is good site that brings great discounted products, but this is what happened when my product was canceled due to non availability of courier service in my PINCODE , I ordered nokia phone for 3345 rupees I paid using SBI account, and it was expected to ship within 2 days, so after two days I checked site and to my wonder product shipping was canceled and they showed refund in process, I called their customer service and asked what happened, they told reason that there is no shipping service to my area, ok let it be, I asked about refund I was assured that refund was going on, k I kept my phone,
NOW HERE COMES THE WORST PART
I couldnt find my balance credited to my bank account even after 7 days ! So i was wondering why they are taking so long, And here I called again, and you know what they told me they refund by sending bank check by speed post!
LOL I asked them why they are doing like this but there where no correct answer ! Any ways I was agin ready to wait some more days
On next week I got registered post containing check hee hee, Oh thank God i recieved refund after morethan two weeks ! OK
I opened it found check from YES BANK !!!!
What the hell i never heard of that bank any where else ?? .. Did you hear about it, I went online and checked their website to find out nearest branches, and to my disappointment there is only just one branch in my state Kerala ! And I have to pay Rs 300 bus fare to reach that place ! I checked branches in near states and there is only one or two branches in each state ! How will I make this check to get money !
What do you think about this??

did u contact their cc again??

usually online transactions are refunded in the same way they were made… it should hav been a refund through the payment gateway in ur case unless its been a very long time after the original payment was made in which case the refund cannot be made through the payment gateway

if i am not wrong then your cheque must be an account payee. for that you dnt need to go to yes bank. you can deposit that cheque in the bank whr u have an account and your money will be credited in 2 to 3 days.

I didnt know that, I never dealt with check, i will try taking it to my bank, I was confused it was written like “From any YES bank”, I made payment SBI internet banking product was cancelled on second day(so not so long) and I called cc and they told that its their usual way of refund !!

i cancelled one of my order payed via debit card..i was told that refund would be by cheque..however,after 7-8 days,i noticed the refund was reflected back in my account

@rohu – You dnt need to worry…The refund cheque provided to you must be on the bank account .. i mean it can only be deposited to the account … Even if you go to YES bank they won’t provide you CASH .
Just go and deposit the cheque in your bank( bank in which you have your account ) . These cheques are “payable at par” . They wont charge you anything and it will be cleared and will be deposited in your account .
No need to take tension …Relax… You are in the safe hands….:-)
