Why avoid Shopclues... :D

I had decided to create this topic only when i get my refund… Today i got mail from CCavenue that it has been initiated and so here is the topic…

Flashback : It was May 2013 and i was thinking of buying a small cooler of low wattage to run on inverter as Gurgaon has some real bad power cuts… and then i saw the deal on shopclues and after thinking a lot ordered Vox FLS 320 85W Air Cooler with Remote for 4190 rupees on 5th May…

Cooler was delivered on 10th May 2013 in a wooden packing and i was impressed that they took care of the packaging…. Opened the package everything was good except the fan speed but we cant expect much from an 80W fan… the height of cooler is low and airflow might go below the level of a normal sized bed…

Assembled the cooler and turned it on… went near the grill to change the airflow and found whole body of cooler behind the grill was shattered!!

Called shopclues… they wanted proof.. i said its hard to click pictures of damage inside the grill but he insisted so i sent the pics… They replied after a couple of days about the pickup and on call they said the courier guys will inform me before they come for the pickup…

15th morning i get a call that they r coming for pickup at around 11:30 so i decided to skip work and get it done…

1PM a guy rings the bell and says he is there for the pickup… i ask him how would he carry it back as he is there on a bike… the guy says – “arey shoplcues ka packet hai na.. de do jaldi…”

i ask him if he even knew what kind of product he is supposed to pickup… obviously he is clueless… i tell him about the cooler n he says he’ll send a small pickup vehicle… 1 day wasted because of their stupidity….

i called shopclues the guy is laughing and says he will ensure next time they send a proper pickup vehicle… i request them to get the pickup done by Saturday or Sunday but they are more concerned about the convenience of their courier partners than their customers….

20th May again a call… once again i skip work. this time they got a van n finally pickup is done…

its 15 days since i ordered the cooler so i decide to get the old cooler repaired…spent 1200 on new fan and pump and its working like a new cooler…

Now i track the reverse pickup which shows since 21st may 2013 its in Noida from where it was originally shipped but hasn’t been delivered to the warehouse…

after numerous calls to shopclues despite they horrible waiting time on calls and chats… i get a scripted reply that they’ll take action once they receive the product…..

15 days have passed since cooler reached Noida… i have already made many calls to delhivery which always promises delivery the same day…

Nobody in shopclues replies to the mails… they have no time frame in which they’ll resolve the issue….

6th June i call them and ask for refund… they refuse and say they havent received the package… this time i tell them i want my money back or they’ll face the consequences… lady tries to play smart… 1st puts me on hold for a long time n says she does not want me to hold so i better wait for few more days…. i tell her to take whateve time she needs… finally after lots of screaming.. she says refund will be processed in 24 hours…

No refund after that… no reply to mails… only change is status of courier which shoplcues shows as received since i n blasted them on the call….

i wait thinking may be in some days i’ll get my money back… in the meantime these guys create a new order for the same cooler in my account without my permission using my credit…

Again long hold and on call the lady clearly says she cant send mails and they cant cancel orders whether i have been consulted or not… Asks me to cancel from my account section… i did that….

11 June i get a mail from CCAvenues about refund….

PS : Delhivery still shows it hasnt been delivered yet….

What if someone ordered similar items but does not own a cam so he cant get the refund?
