Will water cooler air pass through jaali?

I am thinking to buy symphony water cooler. I will keep the water cooler outside but the only issue is there is a jaali which we can not remove..so water cooler air has to pass through jaali.

Do you think water cooler air will pass through jaali and cool the room?

I have shortlisted symphony ice cube.

it depends what is the size of jaali, if it a mosquito jaali to prevent insect, then it will not work, but if it is a grill having good space in between, it will pass

If you are speaking of mosquito jali.. it will work at first, but the moisture wanter will corrode the jali (if it is metal) or else, it will gather dust and block…

I dont think it is a good idea..

Bhai, great suggestion. I did that and hawa is passing https://cdn1.desidime.com/assets/textile-editor/icon_smile.gif Yesterday as weather changed and cool winds were blowing, jaali was doing great job by passing all the cool air in the room.

Thanks for your suggestion.

Yes it is a mosquito jaali. It has small numerous holes in it. Air pass very well through it.

I think cooler air will pass through it. The only confusion is will it be effective enough to cool the room.

Thanks for your suggestion.

Good suggestion. I know it is bad idea but it is kind of famous ‘India Juggad’ https://cdn1.desidime.com/assets/textile-editor/icon_smile.gif I have no other alternative. Jaali has to be there to make sure lizards and mosquitoes does not creep in.

I asked one cooler manufacturer guy. He says cooler air will pass through jaali but it will take longer time to cool the room. I am absolutely okay with it provided in the end it cools the room.

You are right-corrosion risk is there. If jaali corrode lets say at the end of season, i am willing to replace it with the new one. I hope it does not corrode in just few days and that will add up to more hassle.

I have seen old air coolers which has jaali in it. I think they used to put jaali to make sure mosquito does not enter the room.

I am getting a good price at shop clues for symphony air cooler but this confusion still remains.. The only solution it seems is to take risk, spend rs 4500 for cooler and then see what happens.

humare yahan b yahi dikkata hai yar https://cdn3.desidime.com/assets/textile-editor/icon_sad.gif ..

alternatively, open the window when using cooler and get this product..

http://www.ebay.com/itm/White-Insect-Fly-Bug-Mo...

this will be much better in lieu of that metallic jaali ..and do note, clean that grill regularly with wet cloth or water pipe..rub old toothbrush ..this wil keep holes open..

Nylon jaali should be available at your local hardware store. Its sold by the meter, like cloth. Fix with velcro. Replace iron jaali with this. Remove and wash when necessary. Enjoy. https://cdn2.desidime.com/assets/textile-editor/icon_smile.gif

The link that I have provided is the same which you are talking about. But benefit of my link is it have all the components required to hook upto window. Whereas that one which is available in roll like clothe, you need to look for jugaad https://cdn3.desidime.com/assets/textile-editor/icon_lol.gif ,on how to hook it up.

you can call a carpenter and ask him to cut that to size of cooler and once summer is over you can stitch or tie it with small wire available at any hardware store.

@OP earlier we were having hardware store..

i will suggest u to put cooler at window and d rest areas of window upper and lower section should be covered with nylon jali with wooden frames, frames can be customized as per sizes of upper and lower space left

In case u dont wanna go wid this concept.. go as per ur idea with aluminum net, reason being nylon net are not flat and they dont let air free flow., d benifit of alluminium net is they are flatr and stable so air passes more..and abt d moisture yeah it can be affected but u can replace every 2 yr

Yes brother ultimate solution..the cool air breeze from water cooler will be a great pleasure ! But incase if jaali works, then i will avoid cutting it and going through hassles.
