Am a startup user of Android. Could you please post how and what all can be deleted from the phone. Only things I use are WhatsApp, Hangout, Fb, Twitter, Chrome, some Games, Apps at times of loot:P Will be thankful if you can share ways to keep/increase the mobile performance.

I am not sure if you are talking in terms of MI3 or any phone in general ? If you are talking in terms of Mi3 i am listing down all the apps which you can safely remove and save space in your case (depends on case to case !! ) . If you are not talking about Mi3 then you can list the phone you have and i can list down the apps .
Apps to Remove in Mi3 :-
1) Stock Browser (no need !! you can just install chrome ! )
2) Swiftkey (Go to Settings > App > Swiftkey > Uninstall )
3) Google Pinyin Input ( Go to Settings > App > Google Pinyin Input > Uninstall )
4) Weather App (cannot be removed if you are not rooted but can be disabled ! ) (Settings > App > Weather > disable )
5) Google +
6) Google Books
7) Google + Photo Sync
8) Google Play Newsstand (if you use any other app for news !! Its awesome app try it out for news ! )
9) Google Play Music (You can use inbuilt music app or any other player !)
10) Google Drive
11) Flipkart
Optimization :-
1) Go to security app > Virus Scan > Disable everything (Only if you don’t want an antivirus running ! ) (Saves memory !)
2) Use an app named Greenify . Using Greenify you can hibernate the dormant services running.

I can confirm that this CWM version is working for build MIUI-KXDMIBE18.0
Following are the steps :-

Steps :-
1) Open the Updater App on MI3 :-
Then click on Select Update Package :
2) Select CWM 7 File Downloaded :-
Once this file gets flashed your MI3 will reboot !!
Power off your MI3 ! Go into Recovery mode by Pressing Volume Up + Power Button (Press & Hold )
Now once you have booted into recovery Select :- install Zip
Then select ‘choose zip from SD Card’ :-
Then Select 0/ :-
Then go the path wherever you have stored the SU zip (Downloaded earlier from 2nd link !)
In my case its in downloads/ so i went to that path :-
Now select Update-SU-1.93.xxx file and flash it to the active system partition (2)
Once flashed . Please reboot.
You should now have Super SU on your system !

Even i need some help now..I just updated to the latest OS by MI and my phone isn’t rooted
The first issue I was facing was after connecting my phone to my Windowx 7 desktop,I’d never get a media portable device(MTP) nor a USB mass storage device. Instead I’m getting a XIAOMI CD Drive 
Finally I got this resolved somehow when i disabled the USB debugging mode which i had enabled earlier in developer options and then the desktop was able to identify the phone as a MTP. However I am only able to copy small/some files to this device, unable to paste large files or folders of about 1gb or above 
Is there anyway to fix this problem and make ur device simply identify as a mass storage device like how a pen drive behaves
Any help would be highly appreciated

Are the Mi3 MTP drivers installed in your phone correctly ! Because for me i always have USB debugging enabled and don’t have any issues with MTP.
Have you installed the MiPhoneManager that is present in the CD Drive ?
If not install it once !! That should re-install all the MTP drivers. Insiall the setup.exe file present in the CD Drive. If you already have installed the drivers then open Device Manager on Windows . Uninstall your MI3W driver . Then plug the phone again .
Check whether all the drivers are installed or not once you plug it again !
Also regarding 1GB + file transfer issue to check it :- Do you have Wifi ??
If you have Wifi can you transfer your stuff using MissingLink ??

This can wirelessly transfer your stuff from Remote PC to your phone or vice versa. Try that once ! If both don’t work then its a different issue . If this works then their’s problem with the MTP drivers.
Also when you are checking MTP also try changing your mode to PTP and check once and then revert back to MTP !
Uninstall n Reinstall did the trick..
Things are being copied now but really very slow especially photos..
Why doesn’t this thing just connect like a pendrive/flashdrive like my pantech & samsung used to

From newer versions of Android MTP is the standard along with PTP. Since you may be copying huge number of photos it is bound to slowdown due to the volume . It is the same case with any phone ! A single big file transfer is quicker since while copying system does not have to free blocks again and again on your flash ! Also Mount as USB drive is deprecated now !
My phone doesn’t auto-rotate. I toggled the rotation option a couple of times, but no luck. Anyone facing a similar issue?

No problem with mine. What version are you using? But auto rotate is working in both stable versions.

I updated the phone to the latest version, immediately after receiving.
The phone changes to landscape mode only when I play a video in MX Player, and then it sticks to landscape mode till I return to home screen. Rotating the phone by hand doesn’t change the screen orientation.

Never had such issues.
Have you tried in gallery? By default Miui homescreen doesn’t flip to landscape.

I’ve ordered this case. The seller claims to be original and comes in original box/cover but I don’t think it will be original for the price(lets see how it turns out). The reason I ordered it was that the seller is prompt in communication, most of the time he is online to chat, feedback about quality in other items are good and most importantly the seller is giving tracking details for it.

Guys I dont think that original case is good…It wont protect the three sides of the phone….So easy to get dented by bumps…..

if it covers bottom then your speakers will get affected badly And at the top you will have SIM tray so you always have to have a cutout for that + Cutout for charging slot !
