but, He is Definitely Wrong because you can easily differentiate between a Malware and a Genuine Program from it’s Source. Being Specific here, Get a Original Trial Version of Office 15 from Monthly Tech Magazines’ DVD and Activate them through KMS Servers using any MAK available on torrents and there is Nothing to Do with Malwares or Worms here.

Every time someone posts an offer on genuine software products, some odd guy has the audacity to talk about pirated stuff as if that makes him a genius or a whizkid. Come on.. one doesnt even need an IQ of 50 to download a random keygen or activator from Piratebay/warez sites. A lot of people use pirated stuff, and all of us are aware of it. However there are situations in which using genuine software makes sense, esp in a corporate envt at work, or in a place where having it suddenly stop working (maybe because it got automatically updated) and displaying an “activation required” message would be rather unfortunate.

“Activate using reliable sources”? Really? What exactly are your reliable sources? For all you know, you have to run your activator/keygen as Admin, and leaving your system vulnerable to worms (it doesnt mean the patch used, by itself contains a worm). There are a lot of loopholes unearthed every day, and very few are known by security experts or Microsoft. A patch needs to just leave a few ports open. That can be piggybacked by another Trojan to infect the system.

Now some of us would like the peace that comes with using genuine software. You could argue that after activation, your software is the same as any genuine software, but that’s hardly the truth. If you activate in such a manner, your software is also prone to lose its activation status in next update, so most people disable system updates, or block activation servers in the host file. All of which ultimately does make your system vulnerable.

If you’re using the software on a personal PC and dont have sensitive data, or regularly backup, or dont mind formatting everything and reinstalling once corruption occurs, this may not be a good deal. But some of us do care about this, be it losing some treaured photos that wasnt backed up, or a project with its final version not saved, etc.

Calling names at the guy who described security flaws in using pirated software, is just childish, or naive-take your pick. Those who come and read this thread are people who would love to buy this genuine software and happy to do so at a low price. They arent here to take lessons from you, on how to use pirated software. Now if you were a real hacker describing a new security flaw in the security system of the licensing, you’d have my respect. Right now, you’re just another guy who thinks using Piratebay has made him a computer pro.
