Yes I can feel how the cold nights are in Northern India.

NICE but tradus is not nice. tradus is taking the credit of donating the blankets to poor people. and also, there is no track record / transparency that all of those blankets purchased by us will be donated. and moreover, who says that its a 400 rs. blanket, it maynot be worth 100 rs. , so even if tradus is donating and earning fame and name, tradus is still making atleast 50 rs. a commission on each blanket donated.
a company is known by the quality of customer service it provides, and we all know about the crap customer care of tradus who hardly bothers and listen. tradus has not even mentioned its customer care mail/ phone number on its website , a cheap idea to get rid of most of calls traffic.

Initiative is very good. Yes full transparency is not there.Still its a good effort . We had saved multiples of Rs 150/- through Desidime . So spending a few saved bucks for a good cause is not really a hard work.

Take Courtesy Man!! Don’t go so much Online!!!
Take guts to go by yourself and cover the poor by your alms (BLANKET) NO MATTER if it is OLD OR NEW!!
After all helping a needy poor in your own area is 100 times better than paying the charity ONLINE

Tradus are great cheaters . i am sure they are going to make money out of this to that they can minimize there losses . If you really want to donate search some poor people near you who is in need and buy him a blanket . Don’t belive this cheaters

ya it’s better buy 5 or 10 blanket or even 1, go out on street and give it by your hands, and hear what they give you in return, that no website will be able to give or any charity + 100% satisfaction that your money is used to the needy. Doesn’t matter even if you buy for 200-300 or whatever amount.

Well I agree with what you have told about tradus and yes maybe they will be having a commission for each blanket but the point is at least someone has come up with something good and if you cant appreciate it then please dont criticize it too. Its a good initiative and about the transparency,you have been given the right to file RTI anytime you want. You should be able to get all the details. But you will not even try to do that too.

You can spend 1000 of rupees on yourself and having problem with just a little 150.The problem in our country is this only. No one wants to take any initiative and whoever does so rather than appreciating it you start looking into the negative aspects.

They will die without asking even food and clothing from the other privileged citizens. It is us who have to reach out to them. I’m talking of the people below poverty line. And if someone who is taking initiative to save us time, then either contribute or just keep quiet. Don’t discourage others from doing so. the best way is to buy blankets from local street market price is 100-160

and give it to needy ones on footpath

Its not about losing money dude, daily cigarettes cost thrice than the said price!!!
Its about YOU…you go and donate!! You will realize the sufferings of Poors and thus in-turn you will try donating from yours every month salary!
Its not about changing the way of donation but its more about changing the way of Livelihood !!

When did you personally given any alms like blanket or a bedsheet to any road-side sleeping begger???
If not then you don’t know what it takes to be a Poor & when you know what state they are going through you will never opt an online aid!!!

(Had this be an initiate if they would deduct some amount from total billing value, I shall then purely feel happy to shop anything from this site, thinking of the INITIATIVE taken against the POORS)

I already do what you are referring to. This is just add-on.

The thing is, every one of us may not have that urge to go out actively and make those contributions. Many of us just don’t have time and drive to do it, even though we may wish to do it some day. So, its like something is better than nothing for those of us. My two cents.
