List of MCC required

Categories/MCCs will be defined as per VISA & Mastercard guidelines:

Railways: 4112, 4011, 4111; Petrol: 9752, 5541, 5983, 5172, 5542; Utility: 4900; Wallet: 6540; Rental: 6513; Insurance: 6300, 5960; Miscellaneous: All MCCs as defined by VISA & Mastercard.

Rbi ek baar is mcc par bhi kaan khichega inka.. they should have show upfront charge before payment incase of mcc is chargeble.

Ye to cheat hai jab pay time kuchh amt ho baad me extra add kar de.. qnd mcc we cant know at payment..

How to find MCC:

IDFC: Can be easily checked, many post available on DD. 

Axis bank: Initiate online chat with cc to get MCC. Calling cx care will not help as they don't have this information with them. 

ICICI: very difficult, they don't easily share over email. But if you will insist that you have asked for the same in past as well and at that time MCC was shared with you then they might share MCC. Minimum 2 follow ups will be required. 

Thank you very much for this thread, I was about to create the same. Now let's just hope that dimers will upvote it and share the MCC. 

It will also, be great if you could just create a form and link it to a google sheet and share it here. It will make work easy. 

MCC of famous merchants with exact name in case of DC/CC and UPI ID in case of UPI would be great.
