Hi, This is a Lumpsum Payout Policy, not Indemnity. If one’s Standard policy covers the Hospital Bills, the above policy can come in handy to cover the Non medical expenses which are usually not covered by Standard Policy. Also works as a Hospital Cash kinda plan in mitigating Loss of Income due to Hospitalisation. So, this is Useful I guess.

One can buy ICICI LOmbard policy offered on ETMONEY at a premium of Rs. 110 for a similar Payout of 25k. This plan doesn’t offer Quarantine benefit.
