Amazing price , 18,500 after HDFC discount makes me regret my last few headphone purchase.

I saw this at midnight only along with sony wh-1000xm3 and both are priced same. But didn’t know it was a deal. Anyways waiting for today’s announcement of sony wh-1000xm4 then will decide what to buy. And yes the price after hdfc offer comes around 18.5k and not 17.5k as mentioned above

I bought XM2 in 2018 for 18K in one of these sales; haven’t once regretted shelling out that amount on these amazing ANC headphones. I’d recommend buying these XM3 at this great price (before the deal expires). XM4 would launch for no less than 30K INR.

Indian pricing doesn’t work that way unfortunately. IIRC, even the XM3’s launched in India @ 29,999/-

Another thing to worry/think is – if even if the price is around 25k (just hoping) when will it be available in India…if its going to next year then probably its better off with this one in the deal…with all the covid stuff…cant even explore the option of asking someone from aboard to buy and mail it..

So friends please suggest if we should go with Sony or Bose here. Also the sony buds version of XM3 is also getting descent traction at 17990 /- suggestions on these three please

Bose is really more comfortable to wear but sony do have better anc mic is average in both , indis pricing would be around 32k going against bose 700, launch in Sep in India

20000rs headphones and yes people are excited!

A few years ago, my headphone purchase used to revolve around the nit-picky sound comparisons, subtle ANC difference etc.

But now that I have collected several headphones, it’s more about comfort, pairing multiple devices, ease of pairing etc.

Whatever Bose lacks in terms of sound compared to this Sony, for me it easily makes up for it with crazy comfort and pairning convenience.

I’d recommend going for the XM3 – the difference between XM3 and XM4 would not justify an additional 33% payout (Rs. 10K).

As for Sony vs. Bose, depends on your priority:
- Great sound quality (for a versatile music genre) with excellent ANC: Sony
- Top-of-the-line comfort & bragging rights: Bose

I’ve the XM2’s and really happy with ‘em (nearing 2 years of ownership). That said, you can’t go wrong with either Sony XM’s or Bose QC35.

Imp. note: Please if you do end up buying either, do not play basic/standard MP3 files (esp with low bitrate). I’d recommend FLAC audio files; and the difference in quality would be truly tangible to your ears.

Looks like official price cut!
Same prices everywhere (Croma,RD,Amazon..) for Bose QC 35 II (2017 launch*) & 1000XM3
While the pricedrop on 1000XM3 (remember amazon selling these for 22k 20k* couple of months back*) could be due to the upgraded version, bose is trying to clear QC 35ii as they don’t seem to have plans to extend the QC lineup? // or may be the NC 700 series is the new QC series? //

That being said..Bose doesn’t support HQ streams (like LDAC, aptX, aptX HD)..it only does AAC & SBC while 1000XM3 does all (LDAC, aptX, aptX HD) of them (+ AAC for Apple devices*)

Another factor one needs to consider here is the Bluetooth version
All the latest launches (Mobiles & headphones) come with BT 5.0 while these headphones…QC 35II (BT 4.1) & 1000XM3 (BT 4.2) have older versions
While there will be no issues with backward compatibility..BT 5.0 seems to have 4x better range, 2x speed incomaprison with BT 4.2

PS: Both are good (best ANC headphones available right now) but @ 18-20k nothing to get majorly excited about..unless you need one right now!

Was just going through the official sony india website…its clubbed as an onam offer (Onam is towards the end of this month in Kerala) and with XM4 due to be released soon in India…. It certainly looks like an official price cut.
