Gurgaon / Mumbai: With consumer preference for digital payments growing steadily over the last several years, Axis Bank, in collaboration with Google Pay and Visa, on Monday launched the ACE Credit Card.
The card is designed for the growing base of users keen to participate in the digital economy.
Payments for essential use cases like mobile recharges, bill payments made via Google Pay earn users 5% in cashback. Users also get 4%-5% cashback for spends made on daily use categories such as food ordering, online grocery delivery, cab rides for transactions made on partner merchants’ platforms such as Swiggy, Zomato, BigBasket, Grofers and Ola. There is also an unlimited 2% cashback on all other transactions, making it one of the most rewarding credit cards in its segment*.
The ACE Credit Card is aimed at bringing a seamless, digital experience to users, starting from application to issuance, with the entire user journey for the credit card application being completed digitally. Users will be able to get cashback directly into their ACE Credit Card accounts.
The tokenization feature enabled in partnership with Visa, will allow Google Pay users to use their ACE Credit Card to make payments through a secure digital token attached to their phone without having to physically share their card details.

i have this card. got it for that free google home speaker. i have an axis salary account with good balance from 6 years and yet i get only 73k in limit! my primary card is hdfc dinersclub. but that card is pretty much useless now. so, switched to amazon pay. but Axis seems to be good as it gives 2% for all spends and 5% for utilities. also has lounge access. benefits wise not a stellar card but is very decent. better have amazon pay card for Amazon purchases and others can be done with axis. also having different cards is good as you get offers on them at the time of sales.

Axis is very irrational in giving limits, and even cards.
This Ace card is declined twice even after having old salary account.

I have asked my friend to apply this card yesterday from gpay app. Had already Axis Neo LTF and Flipkart Axis so it is automatically approved within 10 minutes and showing in app too. Gpay speaker offer is till 7th Feb only for approved customer. Limit is splitting across 3 cards.

Good card, but bill payment success rate is very low with Google Pay.
Payment failed on 26th Jan, still now no refund from Google Pay.
Got refund today for the instant failed order on 26th Jan, only possiple got this done through too much follow up with Google Pay and Axis.
Avoid this card usage in gpay itself, through other medium its working superb

Just a crazy thought: What happens with the card and its benefits if Google Pay is shut down just like PayPal?
I guess the low popularity of Google Pay due to the lack of offers and stability for not only bill payments but also UPI payments makes it a good candidate for Google to shut down its service soon.
P.S. Nowadays I have observed the increased popularity of Phone Pe UPI payment QR labels in shops. Next in line are the PayTM QR labels. I have hardly seen any Google Pay QR labels.
No apps earn money by QR code it’s just another method for transferring money. They dont get any money from us if keep using them for transferring money only. It’s their idea to get users involved in their platform and upsell other services like billpay/3rd party services.
Paypal went away because no one was using it. They clearly saw in India we have UPI service If we can transfer money directly from bank acct to acct for free why would anyone load money in paypal and use it?
Same goes with paytm wallet earlier people used to keep money in wallet for sending money now very less people use it or use it only for some offers.
