1hr is too low. Could be because the battery capacity is just 2k mAh (brand says it is upto 4 hours). I am using a different router UPS (Quantum) and it gives me 5-6hrs backup (TataSky router*)

1hr isn’t true. I’m using this from Dec 21, got at 599 from cred….it gives around 2-2.5h backup.

I use it for router + modem(ONU) both at a time (output cable has dual Port) so Backup time is reasonable. 3.5-4h guaranteed backup if use single device at a time.

Bought it in last week for 599 from cred. Tested on my archer c60, gave me 3.5hrs of backup and it still had juice left but I disconnected i was feeling sleepy for testing more.
So definitely gives backup around 4hrs, and its seamless after power cuts.

Does the fiber grid run entirely powerless? The CAT5 network grid was run via hubs in each society/unit and powered via AC sockets. If the power outage is in the area, the entire grid is offline.

Now I’ve private electricity distribution with almost zero downtime, so never had the chance to see downtime in current Jio fiber.

I use it for my Set-top box. Though it comes for more than 1 hr, it is poor when compared to other brands. I just bought this because of low price in Cred deals as I dont want to spend 1.5k for my set-top box.

I use similar 2k Mah from Resonate UPS and I get easily 4+ hours. My friend claims he gets 5-6 hours consistently.

And, the build quality of Oakter also below average when compared to Resonate.

Backup time depends on router power consumption

Ditto – I have Resonate for 2 years now. Getting 4 hours consistently.

Yes, it is completely powerless. Active fiber connections might need power but tatasky uses passive optical network (GPON) and based on what i can see online, these don’t require any additional battery backup either ( the network equipment that powers the entire society )

Here where in live in bengaluru, the underground power cabling work is still going on and for now, even a low intensity rain causes power disruption for hours (Probably BESCOM is over-cautious) and last time i checked the fiber connection was working even after 12+ hours of power outage
