More of a gratitude post to my dad. I live every moment only to make my family happy and my dad is the pillar and support of our family.
He comes from a farming background as most parents of the earlier generation and is the first in the family to step out and pursue other things. Both his parents expired by the time he was 14 years old and having no financial support, he and his brothers (dad had one elder and has one younger brother) studied entirely on scholarships earned. He went on to pursue B.E. from Osmania University (the best of the lot in the state of Andhra Pradesh) and graduated as a gold medalist in Mechanical and then done his MBA from JNTU main campus in Hyderabad. Over the last 35+ years of running his business, he has trained so many people and supports so many of our ex-employees even till date whenever they need any help and by god’s grace most of these ex-employees are like family to us and treat my dad with utmost respect.
My hero and my role model!
So much he sacrificed to ensure me and my brother are raised with every luxury we can dream of. I still remember the day I joined hostel in VIT, Vellore, to pursue my B.Tech. He told me that he always wanted to stay in a hostel during his studies but he couldn’t afford it and stayed in a small room with 9 other folks and asked me to have the best life I can and enjoy my days. As much as he guided me to excel, he has given me all the freedom to grow to be what I am now.
The very little I am able to give back to my dad is to ensure I don’t fly abroad for my career and leave my parent alone, even though I have had ample opportunities, give him a little munchkin grandchild (my baby boy is 3 months old now ) to play with and ensure that he is taken care of every moment he is with us. Love you dad!
Life is Beautiful
