Supercoins are devalued now. Maybe they are selling products usually available at 100 rs at 500 rs price(ignore MRP even if 999/-). And then giving 500 supercoins back which has 300 rs value. So they took 500 from you insted of 100 means 400 extra and giving you back something worth 300. Net 100 rs sales margin for them.

I just gave an example.  In my opinion, it isn't like we are getting 100% value back. Earlier I used to consider 1 supercoin = 1 rupee which isn't not true now a days. If anyone still finds it attractive can go ahead.
