Referral Marketing Terms & Conditions

Introduction

• Our referral marketing program gives customers the chance to win prizes bu referring their friends to Hacker Halted taking place October 10-23, 2020. The rewards are given based on points that each referral earns. Prizes are only given out to those who attend at least one full day of Hacker Halted sessions.

Points and Rewards

• Here’s how points are awarded:

o Social share on Facebook/Twitter/LinkedIn (5 points each) – Please note that the 5 points will be given once per platform so that means if you share the event twice on Facebook, you will get 5 points still, not 10.

o For direct sign ups (those are the signup that happen WITHOUT using a referral link), the participant will gain 10 points. These are again awarded once per email. You will NOT be able to gain more points by signing up with the same email more than once.

o For each sign up that comes from the participant’s referral link, the referrer will get 10 points.

o For Referred signup (those are the signups that come through a referral link), they will get 20 points.

o Please note that to get your points as a participant, you need to confirm your email address as part of the double opt-in process that we have enabled for this campaign. Same thing will happen with each of your referrals too. This means that you will NOT get the 10 points until they confirm their email address as well

• According to the point system, participants will be awarded with the following prizes:

Free EC-Council Training 

The top 50 participants based on points will be rewarded with their choice of on-demand, online training for any of these EC-Council Programs: 

CHFI, CND, CIH, CSA, CTIA, or EDRP (no exam vouchers included with training) or a CEH Practical (exam voucher only – no training included for CEH Practical).

The next top 50 will be rewarded with a CEH Practical exam voucher.

You must attend at least one day of our Free Hacker Halted virtual conference in order to be eligible for these rewards. 

Email Notifications

•Email notifications will be sent to winners instantly when they unlock the prizes by achieving the points required to get the reward (EXCEPT the grand prize).

•Participants will be also notified once a successful signup happens through their link.

•Email notification will be sent to the winners of the grand prize after October 23, 2020.

Rewards Redemption

• All rewards will be redeemed after October 23, 2020 after the campaign ends and the points have accumulated. Instructions will be sent to the winners on how they can redeem them. All vouchers shared MUST be redeemed within 30 days or they will expire.

Fraudulent Entries and Signups

• We have an automatic fraud detection that will flag suspicious activities from a participant (signing up with emails that don’t exist or signing up with different emails from the same IP address, etc.)  

•EC Council has the full authority to approve or rescind any points/rewards that were previously given to a particular participant if their signups are discovered to fraudulent or suspicious.

Only attendees of at least one day of Hacker Halted sessions will be eligible for prizes.
