Google Pay FD: Now you can open Fixed Deposit (FD) in Google Pay app.
Google Pay partnered with Equitas Small Finance Bank by Setu.
You can invest minimum 10 days and maximum upto one year.
FD intrest rate is upto 6.35%. Extra 0.50% for senior citizens. No need to open bank account.
Steps:
1. Open Google Pay app, scroll down.
2. You can see Business & Bills option. Click on explore.
3. Search Equitas Small Finance Bank. Click on that.
4. You can open FD using Aadhar OTP.
5. You can do only 1 FD as of now.
6. Soon they will launch Video KYC. After that you can create multiple FDs.
6. Minimum amount ₹5,000 and maximum amount ₹90,000.
Check T&c before FD creation.
Note : There is 1% charges for Pre mature redemption of FD.

7 – 29 3.5%
30 – 45 3.5%
46 – 90 4%
91 – 180 4.75%
181 – 364 5.25%
365 – 365 6.35%

Equitas comes under RBI’s protection of 5 lakhs, they were giving 6.5 % few months back… reduced to 6.35% now…Equitas has tie up with Groww app as well, i had opened through Groww, process was smooth, amount was transferred automatically on maturity
