Diner card is mostly accepted in Foreign countries..

1. If you have a decent regular annual spending(at least 1L+), then go for it. Try spreading all the offline spending on the HDFC one. Online ones can be spent either on HDFC or SBI depending on the offers.

I am asking my RM to upgrade it to Diners Privilege from last 6-8 months, but not getting it

What can happen if apply stating high salary and upload proof of original??
Since the process is instant, are they really checking uploaded documents?
simply fill the paper upgrade-form,
attach ( past 3 salary-slips + salary account statement ) OR ( ITR ),
and send.
if your existing CC is LTF,
attach a letter telling them you want the upgrade CC to remain LTF.

Currently i am already using Regalia card which is LTF. Recently i recvd below SMS for upgrade to Diners. But not sure if that too will be LTF.
UPDATE: You are now eligible for an upgrade on your Credit Card xx8xx9 to Diners Privilege Credit Card. SMS ‘UG’ to ‘5676712’
Regalia is higher variant than Diners privilege.
After Regalia, the next upgrade should be either DCB or infinia.
Appears, HDFC is trapping LTF users for paid cards.
If they resort to such acts, they will lose customers fast.
Now market offers many many options for spenders.
I had received an email from HDFC with this exact offer Lifetime Free + 1000 Amazon Gift Card about a month back. I applied and was charged 2500 + 450 GST as membership fee for Regalia Card. I reached out to customer support, they have no clue about the offer and they keep on repeating this is not a free card. Pathetic service!

For existing HDFC customers, it usually take 3-4 hrs for the card no. generation which is then sent to your email id.
I dont have any existing relationship with HDFC, As some one said in previous comments, it is saying that customer Care will contact shortly (I tried with fake info to be safe).
1, How can we(new customers) can go ahead with application process?? Am I missing something here?
2, In the link which is given by OP, it says it will be LTF if point 1 of that condition is satisfied (Point 1 is we need to apply fully online etc etc, and nothing regarding smart pay, or one assist), But some people said in this thread that we need smart pay or one assist for continuous years and shared image, So are the LTF conditions different for different cards??

Yes, I did. I had also registered a bill payment during the form submission process.

Not a good idea to live on credit at that age. may be you are planning for your own use. I don’t think they will allow the same. AFAIK

It’s either card is dispatched or if physical application is filled than its dispatched to cc department. Just guessing FYI.
Can someone please tell me which cc to opt for since there are many cc’s available on the main link.
I did not go and check the cc’s listed for me on the checkout page since i need more clarity on this offer.
