Ryzen 5 or Intel core 5? Which is better? How about Lenovo IdeaPad S145 AMD Ryzen 5 15.6" FHD Thin and Light Laptop (8GB/512GB SSD/Windows10/Office/Platinum Grey/1.85Kg), 81UT0044IN

Ryzen 5500u being very power efficient will compensate for d low WHrs…5-6 hrs on a single charge for moderate work related use seems fine to me. What do u think.

Based on my personal requirements I’d go for ryzen any day. Also performance depends on d Gen of Ryzen. Lenovo s145 has Ryzen 3500u wich is outdated.

Instead of this I would suggest spend additional 4K and get Acer with GTX 1650

Non-Gamers, consider this for comparison (this has got IPS panel, and 13+ hours battery backup) 1K more than HP

Im not a gamer so wont talk about aspire 7.

But aspire 5 seems to be a similar laptop. I checked HP website, HP 14s also has IPS display.(https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c07...18).

As far as 13 hrs battery backup is concerned i feel its like saying there’s life on Mars; scientists claim it but no one has seen it till date! stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye

I would prefer HP over acer because of better quality keyboard, sound quality and its very lightweight too (professional look). Also HP customer service is way better than that of Acer.
Only downside i see is the full sized keyboard in Acer Aspire 5 versus HP 14s.
