Also, coffee beans are available for 40% of good for black coffee or filter coffee with milk
The date of packing is 25/11/2022. Usually, it stays fresh within 6 months.
I buy directly from Blue Tokai and they send freshly roasted and grounded ones.
But I bought both beans and grounded from instamart and they are as good as freshly sent at 40%off.
If you are fan of blue Tokai go for it

Ya, ragi ones and banana chips are good.
Nice deal. In South Karnataka local coffee shops sell pure Arabica coffee grounds for 700-800/kg. But they don't understand when I ask if it's light/medium/dark roast. I only started drinking (black ) coffee a couple of months ago.
if you know your coffee you'll also know that this is a way to get rid of the old roasted coffee
it wont be fresh
Ground coffee loses its aroma within a month itself. Better buy then CCD's coffee beans or Devans.

I May be wrong. Never tried CCDs or Devans. Will try eventually and thanks for the inputs

Got roasted beans as well. Do they also lose aroma and taste as they age? It's 5 months old roasted beans .

In Hyderabad, they mix arabica and robusta and sell at 600gm per kg. Stopped buying locally for a long time. Never tried ccd as I get roasted beans from Amazon from time to time and I grind them every day. I buy a dark roast and grinding every day is therapeutic I love that aroma and freshly made coffee.
Any way to source roasted beans directly from plantations?

No idea. Here due to the language barrier I can't get any definite info regarding the type of roast so directly getting in touch with the plantations is out of the question. I could ask one of my local friends. Robusta is available for Rs 400/kg. Most people seem to drink coffee with milk and sugar so they go for the cheaper Chicory mixed variety.
I only started drinking coffee a couple of months ago after coming to know that it reportedly delivers much greater health benefits than green tea. I don't really require it to either kick start my day or improve my workouts.
Edit: Try here https://www.reddit.com/r/IndiaC...e/ Folks have mentioned that were able to procure coffee directly from the plantations.

Even I am newbie started drinking coffee from few years. Green tea is good, I take 2 cups a day and 2 cups of coffee a day.
Sometimes black and some times with milk.
I still prefer grounding beans as it's really fells therapeutic and the aroma stays for few minutes.
I will look for the local buyers. Planning to visit the plantation in Karnataka in my next trip.ys language is a big problem.

I came across a much bigger and far older shop where pure Arabica is being sold for Rs 500/kg. Matches what I had read in a few months old financial article regarding mis labelling of coffee variants. Even better they had no issue understanding when I enquired about the roasting process.
