The prices are inline with what they have been doing over the years in india. No different, no better.
iPhone 12 priced and charger removed to boost the sales of iphone 11 which is stocked up in the wearhouse after stock clearance of old model they will give charger free.
Iphone 11 and Xr has charger and earphones removed as well going forward.
iPhone 12 is the only one that is not manufactured (i mean assembled in India). Hence the taxation is not 28% but much higher, Apple as a policy does not charge a premium to different countries, read their financial statement it mentions local taxes and levies as price differentiators for regions.
It will be assembled in India in mid-2021, then the prices will come down significantly as excise now is approx 40.8% on completely built phones (excise> other electronic imports)

Guys look at the bright side. In india we have really competitive budget market from (8k-20k). Americans crib about it. In USA, premium market is really competitive. In india premium segment is lackluster with every manufacturers except oneplus pricing ridiculously or using Exynos SOC like samsung

The reason they gave for not providing charging adapter is ridiculous. Who the * cares about 2 billion chargers in the world, when there is no single charger at my home. Apple successfully makes fool of its customers at every launch and the world follows it sheepishly. Last time they removed 3.5mm jack, but still phone sizes remained the same, not even a millimeter slimmer. On the contrary Type C to 3.5mm cables sales went up.
