The specs are good, and the pricing is also decent. If you can live with the soldered RAM which doesn’t let you upgrade the RAM, then it is no brainer.

I’ve fixed a few issues with similar models (friends, relatives), and if at all there are issues with keyboard, the key board replacement alone is not really straight forward, the entire panel (keyboard+plam rest) need to be replaced, which is pretty much straight forward.

Memory: 8GB Soldered RAM DDR4-3200 MHz upgradable upto 40 GB

Since RAM is upgradable to 40GB, not sure if having soldered 8GB has any side effects. Please suggest.

What kind of issues are you talking about which u fixed. Please suggest

I am planning to buy this with exchange.

Sure it is upgradeable. But it still is a grey area to me if the soldered RAM stops working for any reason, and what would happen to system functioning with other upgraded RAM. The RAM related issues I have dealt with until now doesn’t like a dead RAM module sitting in its slot. It need to be removed for functioning of the rest of the system. I’m not sure how these makers now are handling this kind of instances.

And the laptop issues I fixed are change of panels/hinges, tracking pad, palm rest panel. The keyboard although is working fine is too much hassle to replace. So the entire panel is changed.

Since it has upgradable RAM, my info is incorrect. 🙂
