No one would buy that even for 45k. The hardware looks OK but without GPU it’s useless .Intel iris is just like Intel uhd.

- It has Thunderbolt 3 Port. Which means you can attach eGPU – which gives you flexibility to run games from future which will demand more eGPU. Thunderbolt 3 port has many other benefits too.. No other brand gives Thunderbolt 3 port in this price (deal price) range.
- NVMe SSD is quite fast than Sata SSD. 3200 MHZ RAM

. Total would be around 73k with interest charges. I think it’s a steal for the price. If it delivers I will replace my macbook air 13 (early 2015) which is running like magic. Not sure if it’s a good trade off. Bigg dilemma!
EGPU cost alot and isnt bang for buck due to high cost and various bottlenecks I guess.. lacklustre performance.. cpu throttle.. soldered 8 gigs ram. Also screen refresh rate of panel is 60hz.
For rest of the things; portability.. battery backup.. 3 yrs lg warranty..media consumption, studies.. .light gaming titles. Sorted.. also thunderbolt supports charging.

Bought one, but confused whether to keep it or not, specially for its big 17 inch screen. Otherwise, awesome laptop.
@deal_hunter A GPU runs python iteration 300 times faster thank a pair of i7 8th gen and intel UHD graphics. My iteration on a CPU takes 15 secs to execute and my 3000 iterations takes barely 5-6 secs to finish (i5 8th gen + nvdia gtx 1060 ),hence GPU. Today’s naïve kids cant think of anything beyond gaming 
Not every app is GPU accelerated. Infact only a handful are. Not everybody codes.
The laptop is designed possibly for battery conservation / office + multimedia playback. There’s absolutely no need for a discrete GPU for a majority of users.

Offcourse you can upgrade RAM, every motherboard has two slots.if the system has two 4gb sticks then you’ll have to throw one and upgrade or else you can add additional stick in addition to 8gb. I don’t think it will go beyond 16gb. You Can still try to add more post checking the motherboard specs.Regarding SSD, if the pre installed is m2.0 then you’ll have to use the 2.5 inch ssd (sata) drive or if the pre-installed is 2.5 ssd then you can make use of the m2.0 slot and you can even upgrade to NVMe. To check better on the current ram config or ssd config ,use CPU-Z or any other tool .look for tutorials on YouTube on how to use the tools .
Looks like this model has a free slot for RAM and ssd too. You should explore raid with ssd to get the max out of your ssd’s. The below model looks similar to the one we are talking about.

This being a 8GB model, most likely the soldered module will be 8 gigs dual channel.. In this case, you can easily add another 8 gigs on the physical slot (likely empty in this model) and meet your requirements..
In an unlikely but possible case of 4 gigs soldered and 4 on slot, you can technically reach 12 by replacing the 4 on slot with 8.. however, different capacity mem config comes with its own (negligible) performance issue..
Got it. Will upgrade the RAM accordingly.
Hopefully the warranty will not be void incase of the upgrade.In US it seems this is not the case as many people complains in amazon.com and blogs that the laptop warranty is getting void when Ram or ssd is upgraded even from lg service center !.

this CPU is heavily throttled. Only good for crunching excel sheet and watching movie. So buy wisely. any Ryzen 5 4500u will outperform this. Only good thing is 17inch display.
