Second screen will feel like a burden in few days.

And this isn’t even detachable like the one on g8x. Like it or not the user has to use the phone with 2 screens.

It will be difficult to find apps compatible with this device, specially games as all apps will not work on secondary screen so forget about multi tasking

True, even if screen is not detachable but if weight was less like 200g, then it would have make much more sense.

30000 and stuck with same Android. No update probably no security patch update as well.. within warranty workable but after warranty, astronomical repair cost. Almost negligible resale value..

With LG deciding to stop making mobile phones, this phone will remain on the Android version it came with.
There may be some custom ROM’s but that depends on the LG providing bootloader unlock.
Tread with caution.
Good hardware without the supporting software is of no use.
Spend your 30000 on a OnePlus.

I hope they honor their word.
Seeing them getting out of mobile business, I’d take this promise with a pinch of salt.

I have ordered this phone and subsequently watched hours of video on youtube and I am still confused/in dilemma whether I want this phone or not. 30k is a big amount for me. Anyone who is using the device, please suggest.

1.
Motorola was once out of business – 2007 to 2009
Google bought it and then Lenovo bought it
Now we still have Motorola phones with some pretty good specification

2.
Nokia was once out of business – 2013
Microsoft bought it and Literally Killed the Brand
Microsoft then closed the business of all their Mobiles
Today we still get Nokia phones

So my suggestion is, definitely not to worry.
Some other company will definitely come buy out the mobile division of LG and continue to manufacture LG phones. They will definitely want to use the LG brand name, cause it comes with the legitimacy of a good old brand rather than having a fully new brand.

Having said this, The near time problem is the screen replacement costs and mobile spare parts availability.
If you are going to take care of your phone properly and given you do not run into misfortunes of dropping the mobiles and breaking them you should be set for next 2 years.
Again LG phones are very good at drop resistance! Oneplus 7pro literally shattered when dropped on the road, LG G7 and G8 both survived similar accidental drops on the road with dents, but they lived to tell the story.

Having said all the above,
There will be LG phone definitely going into the future, but they may not be the same LG you are currently buying.
Nevertheless, the old nokias were tanks and strictly non-android; and the old motos were outstanding unique flagships. Compared to the new nokias which are pure androids with shitty builds and the New Motos are strictly ordinary midrange androids.
