Not worth it. There are frequent connection drops and heats up a lot. I am using it since the last 1 year once I got my connection upgraded to 1 Gbps. I am looking to replace it now.

6 years back I had put a lot of money in buying a netgear router which I am still using. I get > 100mbps on wifi which is good enough for me and it covers my entire home. Point here is buy sasta multiple times or buy acha once

I’m using a Cisco-Linksys E4200 router from 2011. It stays on almost 14+ hours daily and still works like a charm. For a router which serves as the gate point to multiple devices, its wise to go for good quality one.

+1, the Cable operator who provides bsnl service gave me a netlink HG323RGW which cost me 3000 .. not sure if this is a correct gear that I should have. I need to run 5Ghz frequency too.. I also have a voip phone from bsnl. Can anyone help me with choosing a right router plus modem or just router please !!! I will be connecting 4 echo’s two mobiles , one firestick , one mi box and a laptop. Plus possibly adding 7 to 8 wifi enabled smart bulbs or plugs. Thanks in advance…

It is best to use the ONT modem provided by service provider because in case of your own ONT modem you most likely won’t get any support from service provider as their field staff only knows how to configure & troubleshoot their own ONT modem but if you can handle that then you can try getting your own ont modem after confirming it works with your service provider by reading comments on amazn/fk.

You just need to connect a dual band wifi router to ont modem setup in bridge mode to use the connection as you want. In bridge mode your router just need to have the username/password saved in its settings & it will use that to instruct the ont modem to establish the connection. Depending on your budget you can go with archer C6 or the costlier & better archer C7 or if have the budget & don’t like buying chinese then asus RT-AC59U.

These BSNL people looted 4000 from for an ONT device which doesnot support 5ghz frequency. Aslo I am facing regular connection drop since number of devices is more than 10. @A.M.A.Z.O

4k for an ont device is not expensive, it is standard.
