Can the dimers validate whether my idea is good -
I have a more than a year old Redmi Note 7, 32 gb version. I’m thinking of going in for vivo v20 that’s launched today @ 24,990 with the 70% buyback. This means if i exchange this phone around the same time next year during navratri sale (diwali is on Nov 4th 2021), I’ll get a value of Rs 17,500 for this phone.
The best part in pre ordering today is that the exchange value for my Redmi Note 7 today with the additional Rs 2,500 is an outstanding Rs 8,900! I therefore will pay only Rs 16,191 today. The only issue is, I would lose out on the 10% sbi Credit card offer. But for this pre booking, there’s Icici debit and credit card emi cashback of flat Rs 1,500 which takes care of the sbi 10% too.
Kinda confused but really thinking of pulling the trigger.

What do you guys think?

What if they BLOCK your flipkart account without any reason in between?

Do not fall for this , they will reject the phone for whatsoever reasons … like scratch on screen / body / dust .

If you guys want to return seal pack phone by loosing 30-40 % then its OK

Once my friend had purchased oppo smartphone with 90% buyback value program within 1 year of exchange on Flipkart. He dropped it once!! A small dent is there on the frame and also even though he used it with a big case the phone frame is slightly washed out. So they rejected and asked him to pay full amount.

Just own it rather than going for this “smart” plans. You will never have a peace of mind thinking about protecting Ur mobile like a baby

There must be a twist and conditions in this program. May be certain conditions w.r.t the condition of the phone while returning it.

If you go for this, Basically you will have @AryanExpedition but you will always keep thinking about Flipkart every day. Why to increase the worry, just go for exchange and get the new phone, without this “rent” offer from Flipkart.

forget about wear and tear even small bent or someother erroneous reasons they wont accept… dont buy anytime to sell in future at deciding cost. it is marketing tactics

Might go in for one of the other el-cheapo sub 10 k phones with higher ram and better camera instead of this offer!

How is vivo v20? Is it better than Realme 7 pro ?

Would caution against trusting Flipkart. They found faults with a phone that was in as perfect condition as a used phone can be. That 70% buyback will become like 30% in real world.

Amazon exchange is far better.. flipkart guys are always rejecting claims

I was exchanging my laptop on flipkart but they rejected for fool reason
Then i sold same Laptop on Cashify and they took easily.

So fk is doing fraud.

Don’t give it a pass. I have had great experience with these buyback plans from Flipkart since early 2018. I bought an OPPO F7 with buyback of 17k. Then bought Vivo V11 pro at only 7k and bought a buyback policy. Was able to next buy Vivo Z1x at only 4k due to additional exchange offer. Now in this BBD I was planning to buy a flagship Samsung S20+ but exchange value was 6900 and no buyback so explored Vivo X50 pro. It has great value for money as exchanged Vivo Z1x for 9900 (additional 3k) and thus got Vivo X50 pro at 40000 with a buyback guarantee of 35000 in 12 months. So effectively the ownership will cost about 5000 for year and I will exchange with a top end phone next year where I will get exchange benefit of 35000. Important is that you keep all boxes intact and phone in good shape by putting them in cases with screen covers. If a damage happens then all above becomes futile so need to avoid that, for last 3 exchanges my phone’s didn’t have visible damages as the cases and tempered glasses took the major brunt of falls leaving phones intact. For the last 2 phones I paid only 11000 for two year which is less than 500 per month and I replace with latest technology every 10-12 months. So it’s a great plan which has worked for me quite well and hopefully it works without hassle in future too
