NOTE : 10TB of storage for ₹500 a year is a pretty good deal. At least you can back up your data for one year without spending much. But remember to download your data before the year is over. If you don’t cancel, they’ll automatically charge you for the next year. And if you don’t renew, they will delete your data, as mentioned in their FAQs.
For Any Queries : Dimers can reach out to @johnsonprabu95688 , he's using the iDrive Cloud Storage since last 2 years.
Its not lifetime ? right
i would have taken 250 gb for 10 usd, lifetime instead
i hate subscription based models
renewal charges ?
probably alot, i wont even take even if they offer free for 1st year!
whats the point when u have to pay 10k from next year
Buy only if you can pay next year high amount or easily transfer somewhere else. Its super cheap but you might hit dead end year later.
Thats why I suggested to save your data before 1 year. Its a good deal for temp storage
Dimers post your queries, and I'll answer them, I've been using it for 2 years.
You can disable auto-renewal so that the auto-renewal doesn't take place automatically at the end of the plan, , the good thing is you can backup all your devices, like PC, Mac, NAS, Android, iPhone, VMs, disk clone entire machine backups, etc.
With your permission, may I tag you on the Deal Page so that other dimers can reach out to you with their queries?
Also it has real time continous data protection meaning it will backup all your open and files which you are working on in real time so incase if you lose the file or accidentally delete it or close it you can restore it and also the best thing is that each account has its own cloud drive/cloud backup space.
So if you purchase a 10000 GB space plan in IDrive. So technically you have 10000 GB IDrive Cloud backup + 10000 GB Cloud Drive space.
On top of that you can retain up to 30 versions of a file/folder, this will not be counted in your used space as well.
Wow, didnt knw that, its pretty good deal then, which plan you are using since 2 years?
Please provide lifetime purchase link ?
Also, with one account you can backup multiple devices, like computers, NAS, android and phones, I've been using a single account on all my devices and on my parent's mobile phones, it backups all photos, and videos automatically and also has scheduled backups, saved nearly 500 each month for the past 2 years, at the end of the plan you can restore/download all your data in a external drive or any device.
Is download and upload speed fast and reliable without any restrictions?
Sorry for the noob question but is the site reliable etc when it comes to data? Any idea?
Yes, it is reliable you can compare it with dropbox or any other cloud storage companies,
any Lifetime deal available with any other company?
Yea...There are, I will create another thread with all these deals soon
Any lifetime offers?
any Lifetime deal available with any other company?
currently, there isn't any I'm aware of, these offers were provided mostly during the 2014-2019-ish periods, and now all cloud storage prices have gone up since last 2 years.
Earlier, there used to be free 1 TB lifetime plans from Russian companies, but these are not reliable, and most of your data is not secure. Idrive is much more reliable.
It's better to look for such deals on other forums, such as Tech Radar, Reddit, Tom's Guide, etc.
Need a good lifetime deal
Bought it
Bhaiya does it have option to play / stream media directly from their platform like how we play media from google drive? Or is it just for backup and we need to download back to play media?

Yes, you can stream your backed-up data or uploaded cloud drive audio, video, and pics as well.
But not all video formats are supported though and have some size or length limitations as well.
Can I use this for placing my static files of website. With public access.
I dont think it will work.
You can find a workaround using each file URL and hyperlink them in the index file
can we use this as cloud back of my CCTV DVR? Do they allow upload of continuous(or atleast motion recording) upload of DVR video(backup)?
No, not possible, You need to go for the Idrive e2 plan, it is an object-based storage and it too is much less and faster than AWS s3 storage like wasabi etc
what is the best way to upload realtime cctv videos online(backup)?
I'm using Truenas and will try backing up it with Idrive. Theoretically shouldn't be hard.
I need lifetime for about 100-500gb or upto one tb only.
Google one is taking 100pm. It's too costly as per my needs. Currently I am using two Google accounts for upto 30 gb (15*2). Rest of my data is in laptop and memory card. Would love to keep at one place.
Any suggestions?
+ 1.. looking for same ..
Though I have 5 gmail accounts currently on my phone. So technically this offers me upto 75gb. But would love to have only one place offering 100-500gb
There is a free 10 GB plan an also a 100 GB plan which is just 2.95$ 500 GB for 9.95$ and next year also the same only, you can go for that if you want.

Due to the headache of downloading your data again after 4 months, I am not using free 4 months offer on times prime.
They also come up with discounts when your term is about to get over.
Do samsung phones come with free lifetime cloud storage. Or samsung tablet.
What about Jio? Anyone using jio cloud storage?

IDrive is a good way to save things online and keep them safe. Since the past three years, I have been using it.
I have paid for 1 TB as follows,
- 2022 → 1.95 USD
- 2023 → 4.88 USD
- 2024 → 19.50 USD (~ ₹ 1650)
You can either use backup synced mode or manual upload mode.
The upload and download speed is slower than Google, but they charge less than the other players, so it's okay for long-term backup.
One feature of backup I like the most is that it cannot delete the files from the cloud even though you deleted from the local. It will make sure your files are safe in case of accidental deletion or a ransomware attack. Of course, you can disable this feature if you want exact cloud backup as local.
Below is chart for renewal fees
If you have a question, please do not hesitate to ask.
How much upload and download speed..?
